Chapter 3

Well it's been a week and we are headed to Minnesota to meet the ducks and my dad
I get up and go to my closet and pick out an outfit

And grab my bag and head downstairs.
"You ready" Joey ask handing me my water bottle and grabbing my bag
"Yeah I just need to grab some batteries" I say walking in the garage
"Did you get your blanket" Joey ask waiting for me
"Shit,no I'll be right back" I run up the stairs and into my room and grab my green blanket and ran back down stairs
"Ready" I say walking out the door.
As soon as we get settled in the car we start a journey to the airport.
"You excited to see your dad" Joey asks me and JJ
"No" I mumble looking out the window
"Well I am I can't wait for dad to come to are games" JJ says sitting forward to talk to mom and Joey
"Me and your mom are gonna come with you guys if you don't mind?" Joey says looking at us through the rear view mirror
"It's cool it's not like dads gonna show up anyways" I say looking at him
"Yeah he is he said he would" JJ says looking at me
"Whatever don't get your hopes up"  I say side eyeing him
"Ok so you guys excited to play for your country?" My mom ask turning in her seat to look at us
"Yeah, can't wait to play for a country that's falling apart, woo hoo" I say with sarcasm
"That's no way to think of it Lizzy,
This is going to be a good thing for you, your gonna make friends,
Your gonna see your da-"
She didn't get to finish before I cut her off
"Stop talking about him!" I say raising my voice and putting my headphones on for the rest of the drive to the airport

When we arrive I get out of the car and grab my things while JJ grabs a cart for are bags
"Stay close this place is gonna be busy" my mom says putting a hand on my back guiding me thru to security.
After what felt like forever we finally get to are gate, we sit down and wait for are plane to be announced
"Dude I can't wait to talk to dad, he hasn't been answering my calls since we last saw him" JJ says obviously trying to annoy me in some way
"He probably won't show to the thing mom and Joey planned either and if he does he'll probably bring his wife and her kid Charlie" I say looking at him
Are we really about to start this argument in the airport??
"So last time I checked Charlie's cool" JJ says giving me a look
"Yeah back when we where like 9 and 10 he's probably different, I know where different" I say a little louder then I had thought causing my mom and Joey to turn around
"Jesse Junior Otis Cameron and Elizabeth Adria Cameron" my mom yells from across from us causing us to stop and sit and silence till we got on the plane

I sat with Joey and JJ sat with mom

I was sitting reading a book as was Joey when all of a sudden someone pulls my hair, I turn around and face my best friend Keegan Tanny
"Dude! I thought you where JJ" I say putting my book down to talk to him
"Naw it's just me, I switched seats with your mom so now are moms are taking" he says sitting back
"You and Joey should switch the. Alex sits with JJ" I suggest to him
"Hey mr Demo can we do a seat change?" Keegan ask tapping Joey on the shoulder
"Yeah" he says then gets up and we all switch seats.

"You wanna come with us to see are dad?" I ask Keegan who was playing with his DS
"Yeah I wouldn't make you do that alone, plus Ill finally get to meet Charlie, I remember when we where like 7, the first time you met him you came back and where all excited and stuff" he says looking at me with a big smile
"You forgot the part where she had a crush on him" JJ says from behind us causing all of the boys to laugh
"I didn't have a crush on him, HE had a crush on me, he's the one who kissed my cheek at the airport when we left"  I say Turing around smacking JJ on the head
"Sit down Elizabeth" my mom says glaring at me from across the isle from us causing Joey and mr Tanny to laugh

We arrive in Minnesota and head straight to the hotel
Me and the boys get a hotel room together and the parents do
"How come your parents let you stay in the same room as us?" Alex ask putting his stuff the side of the bed
"Cause they think she's a Fag" JJ says walking past me eating a bag of chips
"That and cause I'm trust worthy" I say putting my stuff in the other bed
"Yeah right why would they trust you, I'm way more trustable then you" he says flopping on the bed nest to Alex
"Yeah right" Keegan says letting out a laugh
"Hey!" JJ says throwing a pillow at him.

It's the next morning and we all get ready to go see the ducks and the other team mates where getting
"What should I wear" I ask sitting on the bed looking in my clothes
"Ummmmm, this" Keegan says pulling out an out fit

We all leave the hotel and head to the ice rink we where told to go to
" you ready?" Alex ask throwing an arm over my shoulder
"I could really care less about being here, my mom said Jesse would meet us here" I say pulling my bag off my shoulder and putting it on the other
"Yeah at least he'll know that your good at hockey" he says as we walk in the building

We get to the locker room and we are met with a group of 5 people, 4 boys and a girl
And damn she was hot
"Who are you guys?!" One of the bigger guys says standing up
"Where the cats dick weed" JJ says standing closer to the guy
"Cats?! What kind of name is the cats" he says now be all in JJs face
"Hey! Why don't you step back" Alex yells pushing them apart
"Dude get you heads out if your asses" I say pushing past them
"And who do you think you are babe" he says Turing and looking at me
"What did you just call her" JJ says pushing the guy
"Hey!" The girl yells "shut up and get ready"

We got ready and headed towards the ice and waited my the penalty boxes
"So who are you guys" and small Asian boy asked
"I'm Liz Cameron and that's my brother JJ" I say pointing at JJ who was talking to Alex in the corner
"I'm Ken Wu by you can call me Kenny" he says smiling at me
"The guy with my brother is Alex Tanny and that's his brother over there, Keegan" I say nodding towards Keegan who wasn't far from my right
"The kid in the cowboy hat his name is Dwayne Robertson and the girl over there her names Julie, but I don't know who the big guy is i was to scared to talk to him" he admits
And with that the ducks walk into the ice and we all turn to look at them.
