Ikari's p.o.v.
Hidan and I made a full dash for the hideout as we saw Deidara take to the sky in his C2 dragon. We emerged from the clearing as another explosion rang out, knocking down a group of trees nearby. Upon clearing the treeline we were met with a roar of fighting. Shinobi of different garb from what seemed like two villages were desperately attacking the hideout. The stone boulder was breached and fighting was taking place inside and out. Deidara was carpet bombing while Sasori backed him up with the Third Kazekage puppet. "Hidan let's go!" Hidan nodded and charged into a group of shinobi who were attempting to flank Sasori as I made a dash for the interior of the hideout, allowing the flame cloak to cover me once more. I paused before entering and looked down at a couple of the attacking shinobi that had been impaled with lead spikes. Their headbands were those of the Hidden Sound and Grass? Why those two? I shook my head as I continued in, dodging as a Grass shinobi was rammed into the nearby wall by Kakuzu's extended arm. He crushed the shinobi's windpipe before retracting his arm and throwing his body through the cutout which lead into the kitchen area. Kisame was cornered down the hallway with all of our rooms but was slicing shinobi left and right.
As Kakuzu saw me he rushed for me, dodging a kunai that was thrown at his head. I threw my own, nailing the Sound ninja between the eyes as Kakuzu made it before me. "Ikari, I'm glad you're here. I was worried they ambushed you two on the road and you wouldn't come back," A Grass ninja burst into black flames to our left as Itachi began throwing kunai at lightning-fast speeds all around him. "No, we made it back alright, what is happening? Why are the Hidden Grass and Sound attacking us?" Towards Pein's office, explosions erupted once more, shaking the foundation of the hideout. "If I had to guess, they were paid by the Hidden Waterfall for what happened. The Sound and Grass have had an alliance with them for a few years now. We need to drive them off." He turned in time and hardened his skin as a Sound shinobi rammed a kunai into his gut. Kakuzu raised a hand to strike him down but reeled back as the one before him raised his hand first, palm open and towards Kakuzu, and let out a high pressured air blast. I rounded Kakuzu and slammed my tanto up into the bottom of his jaw before yanking it out the front of his face. Kakuzu wiped the blood off himself as another group charged for us. We exchanged glances before we linked arms. Kakuzu spun and launched me into the group as I tore through them with the claws I made on each hand. He followed up by vaulting over me and kicking one into the stone wall before delivering a crushing elbow to one coming from my left flank.
Kisame emerged from the hallway, shredding through one man before grabbing another by the leg, hoisting him up until he was dangling upside down. The shinobi fought to free himself but screamed in agony as Kisame tore Samehada across and through the leg he was holding onto. "Watch out un!" I turned to see a Grass shinobi dashing in with paper bombs strapped all over himself as me made a mad dash towards us. Kakuzu rushed him and grabbed him by the waist and began a strength contest to push him out. I threw a kunai and nailed the man in the throat allowing Kakuzu to lift him easier and throw his corpse into more incoming enemies. The explosion sent another shockwave through the hideout as rocks began to tumble down and crash into the ground. One fell over Kisame who brunted the blow before he examined the ceiling. "I would suggest we get out of here now." He made a dash for the exit as Itachi hurdled the couch, kicking another man in the throat which sent him to the ground before following suit. I began to head for the exit but remembered and came to a halt. I paused for a moment, unsure of what to do before I finally made a dash down the hall towards my room. A ninja from the Hidden Sound jumped in my way but before I could even move to dispatch of him, Kakuzu's fist came hurdling through his chest, killing him on the spot. "Hurry, we need to go!"
Four or five more shinobi charged into the hideout with the same explosives strapped to themselves. Konan emerged from the hall towards Pein's office and immediately covered one of the men in paper as Pein himself emerged from behind her and raised his hand. "Almighty Push!" A force emitted from Pein and careened into the remaining shinobi sending them flying as their bombs began to detonate. The one Konan wrapped up merely dropped over with smoke rising from its now still form. I continued down and into my room where I quickly grabbed my journal and Han's hat before I rushed back out. Rocks were now falling all over as the hideout was beginning to collapse from all the explosions. Just as I was nearing the exit, a massive rock fell and hit me in the back. I fell forward and felt as the stone smashed down onto me and pinned my legs. Fukushu's flame cloak began to emerge onto me again as he attempted to boost my strength but I couldn't get the boulder off. Kakuzu rushed back in seeming like he was looking for me and immediatley spotted me pinned. He made his way over, dodging debris as he did, and got a grip on the bottom of the stone before giving a deep grunt and lifted the boulder. I crawled out from under it as he let it go and we made our way to the exit. Just before we made it out, the large stone door began to fall. I pushed Kakuzu forward and out of its path as I dashed back, allowing it to fall. The door wasn't closed long as an opening appeared and Kisame popped out, molding the stone around him. I followed through and panted once my feet touched the grass once more.
