Kakuzu's p.o.v.
I looked up wearily at Akuno who had returned for the new day of torture. I couldn't tell what day it was, surrounded by darkness and silence with the only breaks being Akuno's torture. Had I been here for days? Weeks? I wasn't sure anymore. Akuno approached me with nothing in his hands as I breathed a pained sigh of relief. Maybe today he was busy and just came to mock me for a bit. "What...do you want Akuno?" Akuno crouched in front of me. He had realized a few days into my torture that I was becoming too weak to even swing at him. The electricity kept draining me with every sudden move I made. "Well you're going to have to be more specific Kakuzu. Do you mean what do I want today or from you entirely?" I took a few inhales, my ribs tinged with pain every time.
"Both...what do you expect to get out of me Akuno? You...you know as well as anybody that you won't break me." I watched as a smile spread over his face once more as he waved his finger at me. "No Kakuzu, I don't want information out of you. No, I just want to make you're life hell for as long as I can. You failed this village, then you can't even take your punishment with dignity. You break out and murder our elders in cold blood. You deserve this Kakuzu and you know it," I spit blood onto his face as my head fell down. It hurt to even look up for that long. Was he right though? Should I have just taken my imprisonment and torture? Akuno sighed, wiping the blood from his cheek. "Kakuzu, come now. If you cooperate and accept your punishment this time, in about thirty years maybe you could be released and allowed to come back to the village. As much as I hate to admit it, we've never had an assassin good as you since you left," Akuno stood, rounding to my back. I followed his feet with my gaze until he left my range of view but tensed once I heard him open a pouch on his belt. I clenched my fist and shut my eyes to prepare as he placed the kunai into my back.
"So Kakuzu, what will it be? Will you accept your punishment?" I took a few moments to collect myself. "Fuck you." I let out a cry of pain as Akuno began carving into my back with that kunai. The dulled serrations tore through my skin opposed to cutting. Electricity shot through me as I tried to pull away, stopping me with even more agony. How was I this weak? Why can't I fight harder! I tried to gather everything in myself to kick at Akuno but the electricity only intensified at my rebellion. I slumped down once more, silently gritting through the pain as Akuno continued his carving. I felt the blood running down my back as he seemed to be making words on my back. Finally, the writing stopped and Akuno took a moment to marvel at his work. Slapping me soundly on the back, Akuno stepped around me as the pain shot through my spine. "Once that's had time to take a permanent spot on your back we're going to have some more fun." Akuno smiled once more before leaving the room.
Time passed and Akuno made sure to return each day to beat me, carve into me, and have his fill of torture. He used hammers, kunai, whips and anything else his demented mind could think of to inflict pain on me. Akuno returned one day with two other guards. I mustered just enough strength to look up from my spot. My knees had become raw and bruised from being stuck in the position I was in. Akuno had the guards release the chains from the wall that held my arms and legs. My mind came back to focus as I tried to make a rush for Akuno but was stopped by the chain around my throat. I coughed and choked against the metal, clawing for Akuno like a rabid animal. One guard returned and struck the back of my knee which easily buckled from the exhaustion. I dropped to one knee as the other guard grabbed my hair and slammed me face first into the ground.
My nose felt broken but I only had moments to think about it before the larger of the two guards slammed his foot down onto my right hand. I felt the bones break under his foot as the other guard lifted me up. They placed the same chakra suppressing manacles on my wrists. The lightning trap manacle stayed around my throat and more went around my ankles. The new chains were meant to stop me from running or swinging my arms individually. Akuno chuckled at my pathetic appearance as he neared me. "Don't worry Kakuzu, no need to make such a fuss. We're gonna have fun today. But don't fret, its going to be a play date with some of the village. They've been dying to welcome you home." Akuno himself took hold of the chain which was attached to my neck manacle. With a jerk, Akuno pulled me forward. I attempted to resist but by this point my strength had been drained so much I couldn't resist even the old man before me. I sighed as I slowly made my way, following behind my captor.
