Ikari's p.o.v.
As I walked through the forest heading back toward my cabin I couldn't help but feel like I was being watched. I raised my guard scanning the area around me when a massive three-bladed scythe came flying out of the trees. I dodged out of the way and the scythe embedded itself into a nearby tree. Out of the trees came a man with silver hair who pulled the scythe back with an iron-looking chord. As I landed on a tree branch the man threw it at me again causing me to block with a kunai. When he retracted his weapon again another man walked out from the trees and stood beside him. This one wore a mask over his face and had a hood over his hair, he stood a good bit over the silver-haired man. The taller of the duo shot his eyes up with an angry glare speaking in a dark tone. "You are Kireina Ikari are you not?" I stared at him for a moment, how could they know my actual name? I had gone by Viper for as long as I worked as a mercenary. "It depends, who's asking?" This time the silver-headed one spoke up "Look bitch just answer yes or no!" I shot my eyes over to the shorter man returning a glare to him. Before I could speak the taller spoke again. "Ignore the moron, just answer my question." The named 'moron' began cursing and fussing at his partner but was ignored outright as I locked eyes with the taller man. His irises were green and the surrounding eye was a murderous red. I felt as if they looked right through me sending a small chill up my spine. He was a killer, there was no doubt about it. "Fine, yes you have the right person now why are you asking?" He narrowed his eyes at me as I felt my heart clench, was I scared? "Then we are here to extend an invitation to our organization, the Akatsuki."
"The Akatsuki? Aren't you guys S-rank mercenaries? What would you want with me?" The masked man still spoke over the still yelling man but now with irritation in his voice as he grunted before calling back up. "Look you simply piqued our leader's interest and he believes you could be of use. Now come on, I am not in the mood to waste time." The silver-haired man quit yelling humphing and turning back to me. "Oh come on Kakuzu when are you ever in a good mood? Still, as he said just get the hell down here and come quietly or I'll just have to sacrifice you to Lord Jashin!" I paused for a moment and examined him closer. In the gap of his black cloak was indeed a pendant of Jashin causing me to chuckle. "Isn't that Lord Jashin stuff complete bull shit? I thought people quit being that dumb years ago." The man grit his teeth seeming to seethe with anger pointing his scythe up at me. "What the fuck did you just say?! I'll have you know Lord Jashin is not bull shit and if I must I'll prove it by sacrificing your worthless ass to him!"
Kakuzu put out his hand blocking him "Calm down Hidan, one of these days your temper is going to get you killed and I won't be taking the blame for it." Kakuzu was getting more irritated by the second as he shot his glare back up to me. "Look either come down quietly or we will take you back by force."
Kakuzu's p.o.v.
This woman was very stubborn and was very good at pissing off Hidan, an easy task and slightly humorous, but irritating at this point and time. I have two bounties in this area at the moment and if we could get her to just come along I could drop her off at the hideout and head back out to claim the bounties. I sighed trying to think of an option before an idea popped into my head. "Listen how about this, I don't feel like fighting and my idiotic partner here won't end the fight quickly enough, so how about a deal?" I waited for her answer: hopefully, she'd take the deal. Eventually, there was a bite. "Ok, what's the deal and the stakes?" I was pleased she accepted to hear it out, this would speed up the process. "I hear you can use amazing fire style techniques so how about yours versus mine? We both use our fire styles at the same time and if yours wins we leave. However, if mine wins you come with us no fussing about it, deal?" Ikari seemed to ponder on this deal for a moment bringing her finger to her chin before grinning hopping down from the tree. "Alright, sounds fair enough!"
I grinned under my mask as the wind and fire masks sprung from my back causing her to jump slightly stuttering. This was going to be too easy. "W-what the hell are those things?!" I chuckled and eyed her over, her stance was solid without any openings, she was prepared for a sneak attack. "That isn't important, just get ready. Searing Migraine!" The two masks opened their mouths with a solid clack as the flame shot out being improved by the wind pressure causing a massive roaring flame hurdling straight at her. This move can burn down half a forest in an instant, the only fire style I know better is that Amaterasu Itachi has. She began weaving hand signs. A simple fireball jutsu? How in the hell is this supposed to be Akatsuki material? I shut my eyes as the roaring flame hurdled towards her, confident in this victory as I was jarred from my internal thoughts by rising heat. I opened my eyes and gapped my mouth open. Blue flame?
I watched as the flames collided but her flame was so scorching hot it overwhelmed my searing migraine. I hardened my skin as the fireball crashed right into me pushing me back from the sheer force. The heat was blazing, this was almost as hot as Matatabi's flames. I came to a grinding halt a couple of feet from my original position as the fireball finally burst sending a wave of heat around. Hidan got flung into a tree nearby but was mostly unsinged as I shot my gaze back up to the girl. Who was this? How could a simple fireball outperform Searing Migraine? She chuckled twirling a kunai around her finger as if this were a recess game, it boiled my blood as I growled and straightened up. "So? Guess I won? But I tell you what, that was an impressive jutsu and those creatures are awesome so why don't I still come along? Who knows it might be fun if the others are strong like you." I grunted, tired of this. "Fine, come on then. Hidan get your ass up and let's go." I turned and began off, Hidan yelling in pursuit but I ignored him. I couldn't get those hazel eyes out of my head, the cocky grin. It boiled my blood.
Ikari's p.o.v.
I followed Kakuzu and Hidan silently containing a chuckle at Hidan yelling at Kakuzu. This was going to be fun, people as strong as Kakuzu? This is something I can get behind. Besides, maybe such a deadly organization can let me figure out who killed my parents. Still...something about Kakuzu intrigues me. There has to be more to him than he lets on. Hidan seems like a fairly simple one to read. Loud-mouthed and a religious fanatic. I really hope the rest of the Akatsuki has as interesting of personalities as Kakuzu, at least with him I feel there's more than a cold-hearted killer. Might just take some convincing to see it. I followed along listening to Hidan yell at Kakuzu receiving a punch to the head causing me to bite my lip to keep in my laugh as he quieted down, beginning now to just complain to himself. This will most certainly be interesting.
A/N- Hey guys hope you like this first chapter and I hope I portrayed the characters well so far but if there's something you think would be a good change be sure to tell me but for now see you all in the next chapter: The Akatsuki
