Ikari's p.o.v.

As I followed Kakuzu and Hidan back to their hideout I noticed we were going very deep into the forest. Eventually, the treetops blocked out the sun except for in a few spaces where the sun shined through the dense canopy. Kakuzu walked in silence while Hidan constantly complained and I'm fairly sure I saw a vein bulging out of Kakuzu's forehead. "How much further till we get to the damn hideout?" Hidan complained. "I told you already you moron we will get there when we get there and if you don't shut your mouth right now I will personally cut off your head and kick it as far as I can, got it?" Kakuzu was starting to get very aggravated with Hidan, I could feel the tension radiating off of him. Eventually, we came to a massive boulder with a river off to the left. Kakuzu weaved hand signs and placed his palm on the boulder. Slowly, the massive boulder rolled out of the way and we entered.

As we entered into the hideout I couldn't help but feel like a trapped mouse as the boulder rolled back into place cutting off all outside light. At first, I could barely make out anything except the two in front of me. Blinking, my eyes eventually became adjusted to the low light of the room and looking around I was somewhat shocked to see that we were standing in what looked like a living room. There was an old, battered couch with a coffee table in front and to the sides were two simple wooden chairs. Through a hole in a rock side I could see what looked like a kitchen and to the right a hallway. Kakuzu's voice knocked me out of the trance. "Come on you need to see the leader." He lead me into an office like room where a man with orange hair was looking down at paperwork. He looked up revealing his face was covered in piercings but there was something else off about him, he had purple ringed eyes. He spoke with a monotone cutting through the silence. "Greetings, you must be Ikari, welcome to the Akatsuki."

He threw me a cloak and a ring and walked out beckoning me to follow not giving me even a moment to speak. He lead me to the living room area where now I saw eight other members all wearing the same cloaks. As I scanned the room a few stuck out, Kakuzu and Hidan, of course, I had met but then there was a tall man in the corner with a massive sword on his back, to the left there was a woman with blue hair with a white origami flower in it, lastly on the roof was what looked like a Venus flytrap man. The leader walked in the middle of the group. "I am Pein but you will simply call me leader, the woman over there is Konan, you've met Hidan and Kakuzu. The one with the black hair and sharingan eyes is Itachi Uchiha, the blue man with the sword is Kisame Hoshigaki, one of the seven ninja swordsmen of the Hidden Mist. The red-haired boy is Sasori of the red sand, a puppet master, his partner is the one with the blonde hair named Deidara, a demolitionist. Lastly, the one hanging above us is Zetsu, he is our intelligence gatherer and the one who gave us our intel on you. We are an organization focused on bringing this world to true peace by gathering the power of the nine tailed beasts in the world. Each member here is here for that goal or their own personal matters but have all pledged allegiance to the Akatsuki's goals. I suggest getting acquainted with them all since you may go on missions with any of them except for Konan and myself." With that he and Konan left back to the office area leaving me with the other seven members.

Most eyed me, some interested some...less than pleased it would seem. The blond one, Deidara, was the first to stand and walk-up with a smile. "Whats up un? Like Leader-sama said the names Deidara. So you're Ikari?" He reached out a hand as I eyed him suspiciously. I slowly took his hand and gave a small shake. "Hey there, names Ikari. So Leader says your a demolition-" I stopped mid-sentence and jerked my hand away. "What the hell was that?" He gave an almost childish grin as he held up his hand revealing a mouth on the palm of his hand sticking its tongue out. "Sorry un, it has a mind of its own." He chuckles as I raised a brow questioningly. "Well...nice to meet you Deidara." Before he can say anything else he is shoved aside by his partner, Sasori. The boy neared me eying me up and down. His eyes were cold and dead, void of all emotion as he got uncomfortably close to me. He examined me like I was some sort of artwork. "You have a very slender body but its strong. Your hair is a good shade of blue and your eyes are a good golden hazel. You'd make a perfect puppet if you'd be willing." I backed away from him slightly chuckling. What the hell was wrong with this kid. "I uh...yeah that is going to be a no for me Sasori." He stared blankly at me for a moment before sighing and walking off. "Alright then, I'll just have to make you a masterpiece once you're dead." I eyed him as he walked off, a chill running up my spine at his voice and words. I remember hearing of him from the war but...he looked way too young. I shook my head as Deidara spoke up again. "Sorry about him un, Sasori thinks his art is oh so superior to everyone elses but don't pay him any mind. I'll see ya around yeah?" He gave a small wave and followed Sasori off down the hallway beginning to bicker about art it sounded like.

I watched as they left as another approached me, Itachi Uchiha. I heard stories about him, he supposedly killed the entire Uchiha clan and left the Hidden Leaf. He opened his eyes revealing to me his red piercing eyes but said nothing as he examined me before turning and returning to a chair pulling out a book from his cloak and beginning to read. So the silent type, though the sharingan is nothing to laugh at. I was snapped from my thoughts as the tall one from the corner approached. Kisame Hoshigaki, supposed tailed beast with no tail from the Hidden Mist. He neared revealing his features. Gills were on his face and sharp pointed teeth lined his mouth. His eyes were small white orbs, bloodshot like he was in a bloodlust. His face widened into a large toothy smile as he looked down at me. "So you're the new member of the Akatsuki. I am Kisame Hoshigaki, nice to meet you. My partner is Itachi but don't worry about his silence. He prefers action over words. You look fun, care for a duel?" I was slightly taken back by his forwardness but grinned up to the towering man. "Alright, I've heard lots of good things about your strength, let's see if they were true." He gave a chuckle before turning and walking off to the stone blocking the entrance. Zetsu silently crept back into the ceiling as I followed behind Kisame. We exited the cave and Kisame lead me out to an open field. Zetsu began emerging from a tree watching us as Kakuzu leaned against a nearby tree eying me carefully. I guess I piqued his interest from our little contest. Kisame grabbed the hilt from his back placing the tip of his sword into the ground with a thud. The sword was massive, this was one of the legendary blades of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen but which one? His grin widened looking at me. "Alright, little fishy let's go."
