Damn. Damn. Damn. Darn. I'm late, I'm late, I'm late. Stupid alarm clock. Stupid alarm clock. Why did you not work?!?! And of all days, it has to be today. My thoughts ran rapid in my head. I should of never stayed up so late to study! My first period, World History, has a big exam today that counts 6 times. Not only that, my attendance is at stake! Damn it! I ran through the gleaming halls of Da Nore High School with a chocolate chip cookie in my mouth. I walked up like a million staircases, well, not really, but you know what I mean, and my workout early in the morning produced sweat drops threatening to fall down my flustered cheeks. I could so use a cold bottle of water right now.
I finally reached the classroom's hallway with my backpack slung over one shoulder and out of the corner of my eye during my pursuit to reach my destination, I saw the three princes of ice lazily sitting on the ground leaning on the wall with their legs stretched. The one in the middle, Ryder, I think, was playing a game on his phone while Hale, probably, was leaning on his shoulder watching him play. The last one, Colin, most likely, was closing his eyes, indulging the music coming form his headphones.
Ryder's hair had short pitch black hair with his bangs sticking and so did Colin. Hale had a different hair style. His hair was longer and thicker and his long bangs were swept to the right, barely covering his eyes. All their dark brown eyes seeming to pierce through anyone they looked at. They were tall and had a slight muscular build. Out the corner of my mouth, I could feel a drool start to form. What the heck?
I shook my head as I passed them to get rid of these unnecessary thoughts and turned my head to face them as I ran and I shouted.
"Go to class before it's too late!!"
I had no idea why I said that. It just came from an unknown origin. I could feel my face turn beet red when I took my last glance at their shocked expression. It was definitely the most embarrassing thing I'd ever done. If I were to suddenly die right then, I'm sure someone would note that moment in their speech as the most embarrassing thing I'd ever done.
Putting that aside, I finally arrived at the door of the door of the classroom which held shaming consequences lying in wait inside. I looked at the watch on my left hand before I charged into the classroom. 7:25 a.m. it read. Just on time. I could feel the stares seeing through me due to my rugged state. My breath was huffing and puffing. My heart raced like a train. Beads of sweat crept down slowly. I attempted to direct the attention from me by cringing slightly and waving.
"Hii...", I said nervously but there was no avail.
"Miss Aaron. What do you think you are doing bursting into the classroom like that? Where are your manners? I know you are a scholarship student but that gives no authority to do what you just did. Sit down."
Mrs. Nelson's straightforward confession left me dumbfounded. Having no other choice and exhausted, I walked slowly toward my seat and plopped down next to my best friend, Joanne.
After making sure that the teacher was deep into her discussion on the guidelines of the test, she turned her head to face me with worry advertising her face.
"Are you okay? What happened?"
I took a deep breath and replied.
"Nothing."
She stared at me, seeing through my lie and stated, "No, that's not true. You're so bad at lying like seriously. You and me are talking at lunch about this."
She then turned and fixed her position. Mrs. Nelson came down the rows to pass out the tests. when she came to pass to me, she stared at me with suspicion but moved along.
During the test, my mind wandered to my encounter with the princes. As for the test, it was okay, not that hard. I guessed the studying did pay off somehow. I stood up and gathered my things after I finished it and walked to the the teacher desk in front to place it there. Luckily for me, Mrs. Nelson was busy correcting the tests and did not noticed me. I only relaxed when I was out of the classroom.
The next periods went smoothly unlike my first. They were cramped with boring lectures and distribution of homework that I could say, like all other students, very time consuming but simple. i had to admit the classes went by quickly and soon my doom came, lunch. From past experiences, Joanne would not let me off easily. But that was not the worst part. I had to confess in front of my two other friends, Clara and Crimson. As for them, I was sure their reaction would be the end of me. Two hyper and fans of the princes as my friends would sure leak out my story to the whole school. Or maybe not if I let take me to hang out with them on the weekends. I'm positive they might go for that since the past few weeks I denied their invitations. I was busy ith studying and ballet practice.
Ballet was the one thing I would enjoy the most and my dream to become the prima ballerina.
I stood in front of the school cafeteria doors while I cleched my sweaty fists to prepare for the worst.
