~~~~~~~~~~~ Layla's POV ~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up to the bright sunshine and a pang ringing throughout my head. Ugh. Staying on my soft bed seemed like a good option to me. I suppose when you don't feel well, my bed would feel much softer but never thought it would be such a big difference. The sheets also felt very fluffy, light, and smooth unlike the bit stiff sheets I used to have. I waved any more thoughts because all the thinking began to cause more pain.
As part of my morning routine, I stretched out like a starfish loosening all my stiff muscles. Of course it all was well until my left hand and foot bumped into something. Or someone. When I heard a mumble in response, my head snapped to that direction. What the hell-.
Hale slept softly with a worry-free expression. I froze in my position while my mind registered what happened and all the possibilities given with the situation. My love eventually conquered my common sense as I watched he sleep peacefully. Whatever happened didn't matter at the moment.
After a while, I gathered up my courage and cautiously stuck my pointing finger and carefully poked his cheek. My excitement and anticipation overflowed with each time I poked either of his cheeks careful of poking too hard.
Reality struck as the moment was disrupted as any good moment in a story and he shifted underneath the sheets. My mind became alert and I paused in the midst of another endeavor.
"OH MY GOD!" I yelled surprised and jumped out of the bed.
The cold morning air immediately contacted my bare skin letting all my nerves tingle and goosebumps rise. It was unusually cold. I thought in head as I peered down at what I was wearing.
"Holy shit!" I screamed and pulled all the sheets with unknown force awoken by my shock to cover my half-naked body.
The guy that was on the bed was rather a deep sleeper. Despite all the yelling and screaming, he slept like a bear during winter season. Well, that was until he fell off the bed and landed on the wooden floor with a thump.
"Fuck damn it!" He yelled after the sudden impact woke him up.
I mumbled something that he could not hear as he rose from the side of the bed. His eye were half-closed while he appeared into view rubbing his head. Softly biting on my lower lip, I had to admit to myself that he looked hot and adorable with the bed hair. Wait. Cute and sexy? At once, my right mind alerted me of my impure thoughts. Oh gosh. Is this what it is to be in love?
I looked down at the ground embarrassed.
"Hey. Good morning." He mumbled still half-asleep.
My mind was consumed with thoughts of him that I failed to give my normal self's scolding.
"Good morning." I said shyly.
I could not lifted my gaze to meet his brown eyes but after noticing the unsettling atmosphere, I managed to say something and look at him.
"Did we," I began to say unsure pointing back and forth between me and him.
He shook his head.
"I think it's worse than that."
My eyes opened wide enough for one of them to possibly fall out. What did I do? Am I screwed?
"Um. Did something embarrassing happen?"
He again began to shake his head while recalling the events.
"Yeah. Totally."
My legs felt weak and without acknowledging my pleads, I collapsed on the ground shocked. Shocked might be an underestimate. Perhaps bewildered might fit better. What am I going to say to my parents when they find out? How will I live?
