~~~~Colin's POV~~~~
Damn it. This was not the way it was suppose to happen. Crap. Layla stood in front of us in the new dress with a look of hurt and disappointment. The unnerving silence in the room continued to draw out longer.
Layla scanned each of us looking for any explanation of some kind before she shook her head and mumbled something to herself that was too soft to detect. She lifted her head up and let out a small dry chuckle before she began to speak.
"I have to admit. I am really surprised. I never thought the whole reason behind everything was that."
Layla softened her gaze as stray tears began forming and welling up in her eyes. She shook her head in disappoint and wiped away the droplets before they began to fall and continued.
"Ha. I don't even know what's going on. Why is water coming out of my eyes? What's wrong with me? Ugh. I give up."
She stopped wiping her eye and let her tears run freely down her face. She started staring straight into our eyes.
"I am so stupid. I never even thought how stupid it was for a person like me to-to even close to you guys. I trusted it was just my luck but I am stupid. Stupid for ever believing it was all sincere. Stupid for thinking we all might go somewhere with our relationship. Stupid for ever feeling something. So freaking naive. Maybe because I never left the bubble I have of friends and family before."
Her words were etched with pain. Layla shook her head once more and took a deep breath and let it out before. She brought her hand to her face to hold on to some stray strands of hair blocking her face and swayed her gaze.
"What am I even thinking? You know, games are suppose to be fun but this is just sick. Is it even humane. Do you truly think that breaking girls' hearts is worth sating your thirst for something entertaining in your glamorous lives?"
Layla said the word 'glamorous' in a sarcastic way. The words she expressed questioned my every standard I had. I made me feel guilty about the others who were fooled around before.
"You know what? Forget it. I don't even think you can understand my feelings. I pity those girls who have been broken by you guys and the girls in the future who might also be facing a lie from you and believed it all the time that the connection she felt was genuine. I won't blame you or anything or tell anyone of the sick act. Just do me a favor in return for crushing my hope, my heart. Don't even interact with me. Don't even talk to me. Just pretend this all did not happen and return to the ways we were before. It was fun while it lasted but it will all be in the past now. This is good bye."
She smiled but her eyes glistened with hurt. She ran from the room. She ran from us as if we were monsters.
"Wait Layla!" I yelled after her and grabbed her arm.
Her body flinched with surprise and she turned her head and looked into my eyes with regret.
"Don't do this." She whispered under her breath and pulled her arm from me and returned to escaping.
The door swung open as Quin entered and Layla left with tears running down like waterfalls. Quin gave us an questioning look while peering back and forth from us and her. She let out a heavy sigh as she closed the door behind her.
"What happened?" She asked even though she knew based on the appearance of Layla that she saw many times before on other girls that were victims before her.
~~~~Layla's POV~~~~~
I slowed down my pace and stopped at the end of the stairs. I shivered as the open air contacted my skin. I couldn't believe what just happened. Wishing it was all a nightmare, I closed my eyes and took a deep breath hoping I would wake up but when I opened my eyes the scenery remained the same. The cold air blew the trees while they rustled in response. The bright lights from mansion lit up the dark night outside.
