~~~~~~Layla's POV~~~~~~
There I was again, isolated with no one by my side. I twiddled with my fingers and held tightly onto the empty champagne glass. At times I would observe my feet that were itching to bust out some ballet moves to relieve the boredom.
I stared at the peach ceiling hoping I would be able to leave soon but that seemed to not be the time for that to happen yet.
Suddenly, I felt a strong hand grasp my wrist taking the glass away and pulling me through the crowds of people to the center of the dance awhile placing the empty glass on a table. All I saw was the toned back of my kidnapper which was rather impressive.
As soon as we reached the center, the stranger still holding onto my wrist  turned around and smiled. Anyone would recognize that look and it spelled trouble but no one would notice since the dazzling display was from no other than from one of the princes of society, Hale.
"May I have this dance?" The words smoothly flowed out of his mouth as if it was practiced.
I couldn't respond for sometime. I wanted to but my ability to communicate was temporarily shut down. My head was still pondering over the fact that Hale asked me to dance and the fact seemed like it was all part of a movie. The perfection before my eyes dumbfounded all reason.
When I finally regained my voice, I managed to cough out some words.
"S-sure. B-but I don't know how to dance."
He let out a smirk while placing us into position.
"Don't worry my princess. I shall lead you." He reassured with confidence with each word.
My face turned numerous shades of red and my knees felt weak from the words he said. My mind was barely functioning when we started the waltz slowly and I kept my head down watching cautiously at my footsteps.
What I was concerned about was not that I would not be able to keep up but if I would fall because of the nervous wreck I was or I would step on his foot.
Right foot, together, .... I reminded myself as the dance slowly continued on its pace.
~~~~~~~~Hale's POV~~~~~~~~

I tried my best to hold myself form bursting out in fits of laughter. She kept held down paying close attention on the steps making her movements stiff. I recognized the song. It was a piece I played on the violin before. It was soon coming to an end, approximately one more minute. Now what fun was it if there was no twist or so much concentration.

I leaned close to her ear whispering softly.

"Let's add a little excitement and fun to this dance."

Her head immediately shot up with a confused look plastered on her face.

Man. I was enjoying this too much. I translated her look as a signal for me to go. I quickened the pace, widened the movements and traveled farther distances around the circle reserved for dancing.

She was bewildered by the new change and tried to keep in pace with me. I held in my laugh even though it took a lot of endurance to do.

The song slowly came to an end but I still wanted it to continue so I could tease her more. Gradually, we returned to a halt and started walking to the refreshments side-by-side.

~~~~~~Layla's POV~~~~~~
Finally the song ended and so did the dance. I thought I was going to die going that fast during the last moments of the dance. I rushed to the refreshment table as soon as the dance ended to quench my sudden thirst and Hale followed me.
