Complicated

Rohit was going in his room when he saw Virat coming from the opposite side.

He wanted to know what had happened that he went to the doctor. But he didn't know how to ask him.
To which his heart replied - 'And who is to blame for that !'

Rohit shrugged off that .. and thought that he could ask him as a captain right ?
(Heart - 'Don't complicate it more)

'Ummm, Virat all okay?', Rohit asked stopping him.

'Yes why do u ask ?', Virat said because this was the first time in two months that he was coming upto him and asking something.

'U went to the team doctor, so I asked', He said wanting to know what had happened.

Virat asked with hope and could not help but kept his tone formal, 'So now u care about me ?'

'As a captain I should know right ?', He said and his heart cursing him internally.

'Ummm ya Ofcourse Skip, if something will be there the physio and doctor will inform u', Virat said with hurt in his voice and went into his room.

Rohit cursed himself for asking like that, he could have tried to talk normally also.

Virat was pacing in his room in frustration .. Why couldn't Rohit normally ask him once ? Did I do such a big mistake by not telling him about the captaincy thing ?

And stupid doctor ... can't he provide sleeping pills to me ? What would be the worse side effects? Atleast I could sleep one night peacefully !

He just crashed on his bed burying his face in pillow trying to sleep .. He missed Mahi bhai and Ro so much .. after sometime he knew what had to be done to get sleep !

Bhuvi and Jaddu knocked his door .. they knew how Virat has started locking his door now.

'So Gaya hoga kya ?', bhuvi asked.

'Wo Virat hai, Rohit nahi ! Virat open the door', Jaddu said and knocked again.

'Sach Mai fever toh nahi hai Rohit was saying he doesn't eat anything when he has fever', Bhuvi said worriedly.

'Kya pata, may b he slept early today!', Jaddu said.

'Let's check on him in the morning', Saying this they left from there.

After sometime -

Mahi in his room was thinking .. what must have happened to his Cheeku ? Why does he need doctor ?
He totally fought the battle with his mind and heart .. and went to Virat's room.

Mahi tried to open in his door .. but to his shock it was locked ! Cheeku never locks his door !

Mahi knocked softly - 'Virat, open the door ? Are u okay ?'

But Virat didn't open the door .. Must have slept Mahi thought (little did he know what was happening with Virat)

Next morning -

Everyone gathered at breakfast except Virat. Mahi was looking at the door wondering where he was. Rohit was also thinking the same.

Bhuvi - 'Kya baat hai bhai ? Have ur breakfast!'
He said seeing him lost.

Mahi said looking at the door - 'Cheeks still didnt come for breakfast'

Jaddu said taunting him - 'And u care about it why ?'

Mahi and Rohit looked at him because of his tone .. Jaddu continues - 'Aisa kya dekh rahe ho Bhai, sach hi bola hai maine .. why do u care suddenly?'

Bhuvi - 'Ha bhai ek month se u didnt talk to him properly .. and just because we said that he is visiting doctor yesterday now suddenly u and Ro care ? Isnt it too late to care now ?'

Jaddu - 'U both let it b .. we will check on him'

Bhuvi said - 'Pata hai aap dono se toh juniors are clever atleast they didnt treat him differently after leaving captaincy'

Jaddu - 'I know the mistake is of all u three ... but you both could have handled it differently'

They left from there to check on Virat .. leaving Mahi and Rohit think about their actions.

Bhuvi knocked the door .. Jaddu did the same again .. but Virat was not opening the door.

Rohit came there .. and opened the door with the spare key he still had. Jaddu and Bhuvi looked at him with raising eyebrows.

Rohit - 'Ummm I forgot to return it'
He said avoiding their questioning gazes.

Jaddu - 'Ya ofcourse.'

Rohit and Mahi entered first followed by Jaddu and Bhuvi .. They saw Virat sitting on bed holding his head ..

Bhuvi went to him and kept his hand on his shoulder to get his attention .. Virat looked upto see Bhuvi . and others with their concerned faces.

'Am i late to practice or what ? .. Today is off day na .. is there something?'

Virat asked rubbing his forehead and as Rohit was also in his room .. which was strange.

Bhuvi - 'No Vi .. we came to check on you as u didnt come for breakfast ..'

Virat - 'Ohh ok, i dont feel like eating anything right now .. i will come after sometime'

Bhuvi and Jaddu left the room hearing that but Rohit and Mahi didnt. Virat saw that.

Virat - 'Do u want to say something ? .. Why are u here ?'

They just didnt know how to initiate a conversation .. And Ofcourse they themselves were to blame for that.

'If u don't mind .. I would like to rest for sometime ..'

Virat said seeing them standing there .. He just buried his head in his pillow .. rubbing it continuously..

Mahi went from there listening to that and also to reflect on his actions ... he felt really bad seeing Virat like that.

But Rohit couldn't move from there at all .. he noticed something was off with his Vi .. he sat beside him and could hear sobbing noises.

'Virat .. is it paining a lot ? Are u crying ? Let me call doctor'

Rohit said seeing him stressed and in tears.

'No just if possible pass me the pain killer .. I will have that ..'

Rohit immediately searched for pain killers and helped him to have it. Virat lay down again .. He slides a little closer to Rohit for comfort.

Rohit couldn't leave after that .. he started rubbing his forehead trying to ease his pain .. which calmed Virat in some sense and he started feeling sleepy.

'Don't leave me Ro'

Virat mumbled in his sleep after sometime. Rohit heard that and felt so guilty of his actions.

'Never Vi .. even if I am angry at u .. I can never leave u'

Rohit said caressing his head and remembering the whole captaincy thing which led to this.
