Epilogue

"Bhai, Rohit bhai and Virat bhai abhi tak nhi aye", Rishabh said as they were waiting for both of them to arrive.

"Ha na we are getting late", Surya said not seeing Virat and Rohit there.

"Bhai, Rohit ka toh samaj aata hai what about Virat? how come he is late? is he okay?", Bhuvi asked now worriedly to Mahi who was trying Virat's phone.

"They have come", Mahi said seeing both of them at the gate moving towards bus.

"Why are you both late?", Mahi asked both of them. He signaled the whole team to get into the bus.

"What's wrong?", Mahi asked stepping closer to them.

"Bhai Vi has gone mad! I had to literally drag him here. He is not ready to come to the ground. Tell him something, he thinks he is not fit enough to play", Rohit said and got into the bus.

Mahi looked at Virat who just looked down. Mahi lifted his chin up and saw his eyes, the same innocent eyes which looked at him like that in 2008 at the time of his first match.

Mahi held his hand and took him to the last seat away from others and sat beside him.

"Remember when we sat like this?", Mahi asked softly.

"My first match", Virat said releasing the breath he is holding due to that nervous jittery feeling.

"Cheeku, I totally understand kiddo how nervous you are feeling to step in the field after almost a year and that too when the match is of the WC and IndvsPak. But kiddo, you have done this time and again, specially in occassions like this! This first match of T20 WC, the team needs you, the nation needs you bacha! Just have the belief in yourself. I am always gonna be proud of you no matter what!", Mahi said softly caressing his knuckles.

"Bhai everyone is questioning my place.. what if they are true", Virat asked being upset about that.

"Why are paying attention to outsiders Cheeku, be it anyone! Rahul bhai and Rohit have faith in you as the Coach and big brother, Rohit- as captain and your best friend. I have the faith along with the whole team, that King Kohli will perform and win us the match specially when it is WC, IndvsPak and in Aus", Mahi said in a tone which made Virat have that faith.

Virat just nodded and hugged him to get all the warmth and love.

"Hello Nushkie", Virat said as she called before the match.

"Bubs, how are you feeling?"

"I am nervous as hell Nushkie, bhai and Ro has said that I can do it but still I am nervous"

"It's okay Bubs.. it's okay to be nervous! But I know that you are gonna be the best out there when u step on the field, I believe in you Bubs.. even Vamu does.. haina?"

"Da..da.. love.. you", she said in her loving voice.

"I love you too mera bacha.. I love you Nushkie"

"Go and play ur heart out Bubs, for the nation, for you, for us, for Mahi bhai and Ro, for the team! You have survived the worst already! This is the time to show your love for this game! Go and enjoy your time out there! I love you a lot"

Virat hanged up the call and caressed their wallpaper of three of them.

"oh no.. KL have been dismissed by Naseem Shah yet again.. but this means it's Virat Kohli who has step in the field", the commentator said.

Rohit saw Virat bowing down to the ground and seeking blessings as he would always do.

Virat entered the ground and there were already chants of 'Kohli, Kohli'.. he looked around people were screaming his name, he looked in the dugout where Mahi bhai and Rahul bhai along with Juniors were smiling and wishing him luck.. he looked forward and saw his bestie waiting for him.

Virat's score was 12(21) and India were 5 down.. when Hardik came on the crease.

Virat - I am messing it up Harry! I am messing it up! Ugh!
He said being frustrated.

Hardik - We can do it Virat bhai, everyone believes in you. Rohit bhai and Mahi bhai has specially given me the message to tell you that only you can win us this match from this situation.

Virat looked at the dugout and saw the faith.. he looked around and saw the same faith in the people who were still roaring his name.

And then the rest is History.

That victory is written in History, from the situation we won, the pressure we had, the comeback of Virat Kohli!

And your Dada made it all possible Vamu.

Rohit was narrating the story to a eight year old Vamika as they met at Virat's house for dinner.

"Chachu, you and Dada are superheroes", she said hugging him.

Rohit just smiled and hugged her back.

"Vamu", Sammy called and she left from there.

"No need to hide your tears", a voice broke Rohit's thoughts. He turned and saw Virat along with Mahi bhai standing there. He didn't even realise that his eyes were wet when he tried to wipe his eyes.

"It's been 8 years to that match and I still remember every ball, every sec and every emotion associated with it", Rohit said fondly with moist eyes.

"It was indeed special", Mahi said sitting in centre of both of them as they rested their head on his shoulders.

"I couldn't do it without you both ever. I really thought that-- that sickness will break us forever", Virat said emotionally.

"Nothing can break us Vi, Nothing ever can break us Cheeku", Mahi and Rohit said holding him closer. Virat just cocooned himself in their hug.
