Hospital Stay

"you are here"

This were the first words which Virat whispered after waking up as he saw Rohit sitting right beside him as he promised.

"ofcourse, I promised you na", He said caressing his hair earning a soft smile from Virat.

"when we can we go back?", Virat was so irritated with the frequent hospital visits.

Rohit answered, "Doctor will get u checked and then we can know about that"

Virat was trying to get himself into proper position. He was so irritated with his whole body aching.

Rohit, "what's wrong?", He asked seeing Virat having irritated look on his face.

Virat asked stressed, "Where is Mahi bhai?"

Rohit said caressing his hair, "He is outside talking to the doctor"

Virat said, "Call him please.."

Rohit got up but Virat immediately asked, "where are you going?"

"Calling Mahi bhai", Rohit said as he was confused.

"No don't go.. stay here and call him", Virat said irritated about him going.

"Vi..", Rohit said not understanding for a moment.

"What Ro? why one of you has to leave everytime.. dont u wanna stay with me.. or you are tired already", Virat yelled opening his eyes and breathing a bit heavily due to all irritation and frustration.

Rohit stood in disbelief as Virat left his hand.

"Do one thing leave already.. why you have to come again and again.. leave me alone.. go from here... GO", Virat said as tears began to flow from his eyes.

Rohit didnt had any option but to leave the room hearing that. Mahi who was about to enter the room and heard the same.

He just stood outside the door taking a deep breath knowing this was the emotional breakdown of Virat. Mahi kept his hand on his shoulder in comfort.

He leaned to door and could hear Virat's cries of agony and irritation.

He and Mahi went in after a min to see Virat laying on the bed exhausted, tears still flowing from his eyes.

"Vi..", Rohit called softly.

Virat faced him and immediately cried more, "I am sorry.. sorry Ro.. please dont leave me.. please.. sorry"

"I will do anything bhai.. please don't go", he pleaded to Mahi.

Mahi sat beside him and took him into a hug carefully. Virat clinged to him holding Rohit's hand.

"Dont leave me please.. I am trying to be okay.. sorry Ro.. i yelled at you.. but dont leave me alone in the hospital..", Virat mumbled.

"We are not leaving you Vi.. we are here with you", Rohit said rubbing his knuckles softly. Mahi kept caressing his hair and he slept off due to exhaustion.

Doctor came in and checked him.

"When can he be discharged?", Rohit asked that first as he knew how much Virat started to hate hospitals.

"Rohit I am afraid it is not possible today.. the reports shows the tumor cells has started spreading", Doctor informed.

"What the hell do u mean", Rohit whisper yelled and he was so glad that Virat was sleeping.

"We have to monitor him today and if he still doesn't respond to the treatment I am afraid we have to conduct a surgery", Doctor informed.

Mahi immediately pulled Virat more closer, Virat clinged and snuggled more to him in his sleep.
