June 11
Itaewon Street - 15:57

"Jesus fucking christ, this is getting annoying."

"I'm sorry, Yeo..." For the seventh time in the last five minutes, my legs have given out and I've practically collapsed onto Yeosang every time.

"I would say it's not your fault... but it is." He grabbed my mask, pulled it, and let it slap my face.

"Ow! You whore!" The boy just shrugged and continued walking like he didn't care, but I noticed how he stayed right next to me.

It's been a week since I stopped the bank robbery, a week since Mingi and Yunho found each other. Due to not completing the soulbond, my body has slowly been getting weaker and weaker over the days, but it's my immune system that's weakened the most - hence the mask. I thank whoever for it not being my muscles or anything that grew weakest, as that'd really make my job a whole lot harder.

But it's Saturday now, and Yeosang and I decided to take the day off. You might be thinking "You're Spiderman, you can't take the day off!" Wanna know what I say to that?

Watch me, bitch. I'll take a day off if I want to. I'm not the only superhero in this city.

The two of us, Yeosang and I, spent most of our day walking around little parts of Seoul before we made it to a bigger street with lots of different food stalls.

"We should get some food, it's four o'clock-"

"Damn, we missed lunch?" Yeosang just laughed. "Alright, let's get some food. Then some ice cream."

"Ooo, yes."

It took some time, but we decided on some classic Korean BBQ - with some other things, of course. We sat at a table in the corner of the restaurant and quietly cooked and ate our food. Soft hums of approval escaped the both of us every now and then. Don't get us wrong, our parents cook awesome food, but nothing can beat good ole Korean BBQ, okay? First place in my heart. Always.

I couldn't help but watch outside at all the people passing by, conversing with each other, on dates, or with their kids. Everyone always seemed so... peaceful? As if no random villain that showed up could hurt them because they knew they were protected.

'I'm a protector of this city, yet I can't even do my job properly right now because of my own actions... How pathetic.'

Feeling sorry for myself is useless. After all, it's my fault the soulbond wasn't completed that night.

'My poor, poor soulmate... how are you doing? I'm so very sorry you're born to be stuck with me.'

"Woo, look." Yeosang pointed with one of his chopsticks towards a little kid outside. The kid was holding a Spiderman balloon and wearing a Spiderman shirt.

"That's so adorable, oh my goodness-" I think I died from cuteness right then and there.

I watched as the kid continuously looked up at the sky, presumably searching for something.

"I think he's looking for Spiderman." My best friend and I eyed each other up, both of us having little smirks playing on our lips.

"C'mon, let's go get some ice cream," I giggled.

We fixed up our table a bit to make it easier for the workers to clean it up and left the restaurant, wandering up and down streets to find the exact ice cream place we were looking for. Whenever the two of us go out, we go to the same place every time. Mostly because the people who work there are very kind, and also because they don't get as many customers as they used to.

It confuses me, honestly. Like, how could you ditch this place that makes their own ice cream by themselves for some place who's ice cream tastes like chemicals and cardboard? Lame.

I entered the parlor first and was immediately punched in the face by ice cold air - a pretty big contrast to the sweaty temperature outside. I heard Yeosang sigh in relief behind me, probably grateful for the chilly temperature.

"Wooyoungie! Yeosangie! It's been a while, hasn't it?"

Yeo smiled, "Yes, it has, Jinnie."

"How've you been, Hyunjin?"

The boy gave me his cute little eye smile. "It's been going great! I met my soulmate!"

We both gasped. "REALLY!?"

"Oh, I can tell! The right half of the heart on your nose is black now!" I pointed towards his nose.

"Mhm! His name is Yang Jeongin and he's the cutest little fox ever. He'll be coming here later!"

Hyunjin looks so happy when talking about this Jeongin boy. I wonder if he realizes that...

"Wish we could meet him, but we have even more plans for today-"

"ANYWAYS- You know our orders, right?"

Hyunjin sighed, "How could I ever forget? Cheesecake ice cream for Yeosang and Cherries Jubilee for you, Wooyoung."

I clapped excitedly and waited very impatiently for Hyunjin to get our ice creams.

"Are you by yourself today?" Yeosang wondered.

"No," Hyunjin shook his head, handing us our orders. "Chan hyung is here, too, but he's in the bathroom..." He looked down, seeming upset.

I frowned. "Is... he alright?"

"No. No, he's not. He and his soulmate couldn't complete the soulbond... It's been about four days..."

I held back a wince, letting Yeo speak this time. "That's awful... It must hurt like a bitch-"

'Ugh, don't remind me-'

"We should get going," I spoke quickly, barely concealing my own pain from my own incomplete soulbond.

"Right. I'll see you guys around."

"Bye, Hyunjin!" I rushed out of there, hyper aware of Hyunjin's eyes on the large bandage covering my bloody soulmark.

Seoul Land - 19:59

"RACE YOU TO THE FERRIS WHEEL! LOSER BUYS DINNER-"

"FUCK YOU-"

I cackled obnoxiously as Yeosang bit the dust behind me, not expecting the sudden race. We've been at the amusement park (aka Seoul Land) since around seven. At first, we were just playing games but then we decided to go on some rides. I'm not quite sure why I chose the ferris wheel just now since Yeosang and I both hate it but... meh, oh well.

I beat him, of course, grinning triumphantly.

"You better wipe that shit eating grin off your face before I-"

"Come on, boys. You're next in line!"

Sticking my tongue out at the boy I call my best friend, I skipped up the little ramp and got into the passenger car that was waiting for us. Once Yeosang sat down and everyone else was in the ride, it officially started and we went around a few times - specifically seven.

"Wooyoung, I hate this. WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS-"

"I don't know," I whined. "I hate it, too-"

After once more spin and waiting like 10 minutes for people to get off the ride, it was finally our turn to get off. I was just about to step off the little ramp before all of the sudden, my foot was no longer underneath me and I just barely stopped myself from face planting into the dirt.

"Eat shit, bitch."

I responded with a snarky grin that was slightly hidden by my hair but jumped up to my feet when a bomb sound went off on the other side of the amusement park, followed by a lot of people screaming.

And when I looked up, the sight ruined my entire day.

hyunin !! their soulmarks are two halves of a heart. Jeongin has the left side and Hyunjin has the right side. I thought it was a cute idea ^^
