"San, please-"

"HE'S BEEN MISSING FOR FOUR DAYS!"

"Raging like this won't-"

"I don't care! We NEED to find him!"

"What could we possibly do?" Mingi whispered, "We can't search for people the way he could, and the police are doing everything they can. They love Spiderman, they'll do whatever it takes to find him."

"We don't even know when or where he went missing," The boy continued, "We just have to sit back and wait..."

San slumped down on his bed, hiding his face in his hands. "I don't want to just sit back and wait... I never should have let him go that night at the hospital..." He mumbled.

Mingi reached over and gently rubbed the boy's back. "Don't blame yourself, San. It's not your fault."

"What if he's being hurt?"

"Pardon?" Mingi tilted his head, unable to hear San's hushed words over the sound of the A/C.

"What if he's being hurt!?" San shouted, "I can feel that something's wrong with him and-"

"You... can feel it?"

"You and Yunho have never-" San paused. "Wait... Yunho would have felt it..."

"Felt what?"

"You guys bonded before the amusement park incident. Your soulbond would've been strong enough by then for Yunho to feel it when you were injured. Feel the pain and stress you felt, though much less than what you actually experienced."

"I think I remember reading about that once. Maybe we should call Yun-" But Mingi was cut off by the sound of his own phone ringing. He and San shared a look before Mingi stood up and snatched his phone from his bag.

"Yeosang?" He mumbled once he answered, putting the call on speaker so San could hear it, too.

"Uhm- Good and bad news- Mama Jung woke up." Yeosang coughed out.

"That's good, right?"

"Yes... and no."

"Go on," San pressed, "What's the bad news."

"She doesn't know what's going on with Wooyoungie and Ren. The doctors don't want her to know." San and Mingi shared another look as Yeosang went on. "I just left the hospital, but while I was there, they told me she kept asking to see Wooyoung. Over and over she just kept asking. They told her no because of her current health state but if I know Mama Jung, she definitely knows that something is going on."

San groaned and laid back, unconsciously placing a hand on his neck while his other curled into a fist at his side. His heart was pounding in his ears and a sense of dread filled his entire being. At some point, the sound of Mingi and Yeosang talking back and forth had long faded away into the back of his mind. All he could hear was his heart and the voices in his head screaming.

'He's hurt. He's hurt. He's hurt. IT'S hurt-'

A sob tore through his lips, catching the attention of his friend who had previously been pacing around the room.

"Minnie, it hurts," San cried, sitting up and clutching his neck with both hands, "IT HURTS!"

Mingi quickly set his phone aside and kneeled down in front of San, cupping the boy's cheeks with both hands. He gently pulled the sobbing boy into a hug, careful not to touch his soulmark while he ran his hands through San's hair.
