6 months later
Me, Ross, Caitlyn, and Kyle were sitting on the couch playing with the babies when Kevan came barreling down the stairs. "What is it Speedy Gonzalis?" I asked him holding back my laughter after he almost fell on his face. "An army car just pulled up." He said panting. I walked up to the window he was right there was an army car there. But instead of dad getting out another man did. "Mom." I said with confusion in my voice. "What is it sweetie." She said walking into the room. I pointed at the window to the man walking up the path to our house. She said nothing but walked out the door and met the man halfway. He handed her a letter and left. She opened it and read it. She started screaming and crying. Me and Kyle ran out the door, Kyle caught her just as she fell and carried her up to her room. I opened the letter and read it.
Dear Mrs. Whatson,
We are sorry to inform you but you husband Cavin Whatson has died during battle. Our sincere condolences.

Tears started streaming down my face. I fell to my knees but soon after felt someone pick me up and carry me inside. It was Ross. I cried into his shoulder. He carried me up to my room put me down on my bed and was about to leave. "Please don't leave me." I said inbetween sobbs. He cameback and wraped his arms around me. "I'll never leave you." He said kissing my forehead. He sat there holding me all night as i cried into his shoulder.
