"Oh... You're still alive." Cheryl sighed as you stepped out.

"You sound disappointed."

"I am."
"Cheryl..." Gunther warned.

"...Sorry boss. So what, is she on our side?"

"Yes, she is. We're going down to my workshop."

"Do you really think that she can be trusted-"
"Stop talking as if I'm not here," you spoke up.

She looked down at you and raised an eyebrow "You got a mouth... you know that?"
"Are we talking literally or metaphorically here?"

"You little-"
"Cheryl!" he snapped, Cheryl grit her teeth as she stepped back. You couldn't help but give her a smug smile. "Come on." he gave a small wave as he strode off, you rushed up to keep up with him, and the crowd of people parted, letting the two of you pass. "You're not good at picking your battles, she could have killed you."
"Psh I could have killed her too..." that was a lie, you never had the time to upgrade your suit for weapons or flight, like the original blueprints, you were searching for materials when you got captured. You hoped that your lab would stay safe and unlooted while you were gone. Gunther snorted as he entered a set of numbers, it dinged and you looked down a dark hole, you turned around "I knew it! Oh, I knew you wanted to kill me!"
"Why is that your default response?" he asked, his actuators chortled... were they laughing?

"Because that's how this usually goes, people want my tech, promise me protection, I make the tech, they try and kill me."

"You haven't made me any tech." he pointed out.

"But you want me to."

"You're right, I do. But I'm not going to kill you."
"...I don't believe YOUU!" you screamed as one of his actuators pushed you off of the ledge, into the hole.

"Now that was unnecessary!" Gunther snapped as he dove after you, the actuator chittered at him "Yes, she's paranoid but PUSHING her off into a hole isn't going to help our situation, is it?" the actuator drooped. "Just... just think things through, please." the actuator nodded as it dove down to grab you right before you fell to the floor.

"T-That is the s-second time I-I have been dropped..." you gasped, the actuator dropped you to the ground, you grunted as your head spun.

"I'm sorry-" Gunther started. "They don't listen sometimes-"
"They're actuators, they listen to you, that's the whole thing with the implant, right? To prevent that?"
"Well mine don't," he replied bluntly. "We used to have an elevator... but that proved to be too much trouble. Actuators can get you down here easily enough."

You slowly got up to see a surprisingly clean workshop... was that...

"No way... Y-you have a 3D printer? H-How?" you blinked a couple of times, you hadn't seen one of those in ages.

"Stole it." he smirked "I usually build replacement parts down here, I would build full actuator suits-"
"Why don't you? You have all the equipment."

"...I just don't."
"For a guy who wants to take down Oscorp, you sure seem to be buying a lot of their suits-"
"Which is why I need you to build your suits here."

"...why the hell do you want my suits? It-It barely keeps me alive."
"You have full cognitive control, do you not?"
"Yes but the implants-"
"Are coded by Oscorp, and I don't trust them." he sighed "We're vulnerable, too dependent."
"But you have an implant-"
"I don't want it, I never wanted it."

"Then why did you get one-"
"I didn't have a choice, it was either that or staying down here-"

"You could afford to have those implanted, you could afford all of these actuator suits other people don't have that luxury-"
"I know that! Which is why I am giving you this workshop so you can do what you need to do! It seems like everything just goes over your head are you always this stubborn?"
