And I Say

Everyone was asking questions when the three of you arrived back at the base. You just shoved past them all and grabbed a rope that you spotted on a crate. You didn't answer any of their questions as you tied the rope securely onto a tether, and climbed down the elevator shaft. Thankfully, nobody followed you. But you knew that they would want to know what happened... And if you were being honest, you were still trying to piece it all together as well. You took off your suit and started working on the boosters and repulsors. You had to do something, your hands needed to work on something. You stared at the worktable... Remembering what happened there. But-But that was a lie. He lied to you, how was he Doc Ock? How did he do all of this? You-You still loved him though. You knew that you did. Maybe it was because he was easy to talk to, or that he was attractive, brilliant and-and a murderous psychopath. That ruined it all. How could you look past that? It-It didn't matter. You didn't know how much time you all had left now that Anura blew that factory sky high. You couldn't help but wonder how many workers got killed in that explosion...

You didn't know how much time went by, you didn't care if you were being honest. The only thing that mattered was finishing these upgrades.

Fifty tests and several bruises later, they finally worked. You-You were finished. You couldn't believe it! You smiled as you launched up from the elevator shaft.
"I can't believe it but-but it works!" you exclaimed "This means that I can make more suits and-" your face fell when you saw... every single person in the bunker staring at you calmly. It-It was unnatural. You looked up to see Cheryl, who was smiling at you... Cheryl never smiled at you.
"So you're the suit maker." everyone said in unison, and your blood ran cold. "Put on your helmet... I think it's time that we met again."

"...Harry?" You finally said in a shaky voice, your arm was held up... But you couldn't hurt any of these people, they had taken you in they were being controlled... And Harry knew that.

"Nice to see that you're still kicking y/n. Now put your helmet on, and put those hands up." everyone ordered.

You looked around, you could probably escape, but that would mean killing and-and you weren't a killer. Not after what you saw. Your helmet hissed as you put it on, your arms slowly raised up above your head. Cheryl gave a haughty grin as one of her actuators wrapped around you. You watched as everyone rushed out of the base with Cheryl leading the way, you were all heading towards the one entrance to get From Above.

"Don't worry, I'll kill you all quickly. Once I rummage through that brain of yours. What secrets did Stark tell you?" Cheryl asked you.
"He didn't tell me shit." you snapped.

"Still mouthy... Guess some things never change." Cheryl sighed as she started to climb up the elevator. Normally it would have a lethal electric field surrounding it, but the familiar hum was nowhere to be heard. "And now... We wait."

You raised an eyebrow "Wait for what? Do you want to see me or not?"

"Oh of course I want to see you, but I also need Otto. And from what I've gathered from these three." Cheryl pointed to herself and then the other two scouts that were with her. They gave a small wave and continued up with everyone else. Cheryl however, stayed put. She held you out, you willed yourself to not look down. "The two of you have gotten pretty close."

You glared at her under the helmet. "I told him not to follow me, he won't come."

"I'm so sorry for lying to you and murdering all those people-No, no that's not right it sounds disingenuous," Otto muttered as he sped back to the base. One of his actuators chittered and Otto scowled. "No, no I am not using any buts. That undermines the apology! How do I even apologize? What-What I've done is unforgivable-" His actuator chittered at him again. "You're not being realistic! Going back is idiotic, everyone will have turned on me. They're probably organizing a witch hunt right now... I don't blame them."

One of his actuators snapped at him, Otto flipped it off and it hissed at the middle finger.

"I will self-loathe myself as much as I want to!" Otto snapped. "Now come on-Stop poking me." Otto glared at one of his actuators, who was poking his side. "Stop that!" he ordered, the actuator didn't stop. "I said-hey!" the actuator turned his face up, where he saw over a hundred people in actuator suits climb up the pole to The Above. "What the..." he muttered, the actuator pointed up, to where a woman was being dangled about 300 feet in the air, Otto's eyes widened as his actuators picked up the pace.

"Y/N! Y/N!!" He yelled as he sped towards you.

"...You were saying?" Cheryl asked haughtily.

You looked down and gasped when you saw Otto yelling out your name, you couldn't help but feel relieved that he was there. But also still pissed off that he didn't listen to you. Cheryl cackled as she continued climbing up, clouds obscured your vision, and then... A paradise revealed itself. You stared up at the clear blue skies and realized that you had never seen the sky like this in ten years. Tears pricked at the corner of your eyes-

"Pretty great, right?" a man's voice called out, Cheryl threw you to the ground and she collapsed in an unconscious heap. You couldn't help but stare in awe at the freshly cut green grass, you hadn't seen grass in so long either, you looked up to see none other than Harry Osborn, he was sharply dressed in a fine suit and grinning down at you. "You can take the helmet off."

"W-What about the fusion-"
"The reactor? Oh, it's From Below-"
"How are you here-"
"Is that really the most pressing matter on your mind right now?" Harry snapped.

"I'm just curious," you muttered as you took off your helmet, and for the first time in ten years, clean air filled your lungs. You erupted into a coughing fit, Harry's lip curled with disgust at your convulsing form.

"You look like shit." He commented.

"M-Maybe it's because y-you won't let us up here!" you wheezed.

"I let people up here!"
"Only t-those who can afford it." you croaked.

Harry gave a cold smile. "I am running a business."
Your face twisted, how dare he decide who lives and who dies? Your arm raised before you could stop yourself and-

Clang!

You felt something hard hit your head, and you saw darkness.

Harry yelped as one of your repulsors blasted a burst of energy at him as you fell to the ground, unconscious. One of the rebels stepped in front of him and took the full force of the blast. Their knees buckled, and their lifeless body crumpled to the ground.

"Lock her up, get ready to sedate the Doctor when he-"
"WHERE IS SHE?!" Otto roared, his actuators hissed angrily as he launched up from the clouds and landed on the green grass. He ripped off his gas mask, and his expression of fury turned into one of confusion at the paradise that lay all around him. "What-" his eyes landed on Harry. "You..." He snarled. "What have you-"

A dart whistled through the air and dug into Otto's flesh, his eyes widened as he took a shaky step forward. "You-You..." he slurred.

"Get some rest Doc, I have someone who is very excited to see you when you wake up." Harry grinned as Otto's unconscious body fell to the ground.

A rebel picked up Otto and another picked you up.

"Restrain them and get them ready for dinner," Harry ordered.

They nodded robotically as they carried the two of you off. Harry turned to another rebel and handed them a fancy invitation.

"Give this to Miss Watson and tell her that dinner's at six..." he ordered.

"She won't want to miss it."
