"I'm still Gunther-" he started.
"Get your hands off of me... Otto? Doc Ock? What the hell do I call you?!"
"Gunther, call me Gunther-"
"Gunther is a terrible name." you snapped.

He let out a laugh "It is, isn't it? You know-"
"You just murdered about a hundred people in cold blood, I don't think that you're in the position to laugh ." you paused "I'm calling you Otto."
"I'm not that man anymore, I've changed-"
You scoffed at that.

"I was protecting you-"
"When I asked you to protect me, I didn't mean slaughter every potential threat!"

"They said it was the only way!" Otto gestured to the actuators.
"So you just listen to whatever they say?"

"I was... I was scared they were going to kill you! I couldn't stand-"
"Being responsible for another partner's death?" you asked, you-you knew that it was a low blow. But he lied to you, he lied to you and you knew that today was going to haunt you forever.

Otto looked down and sighed "Not a day goes by where I beat myself up for-"
"Were you ever going to tell me?"
His silence answered your question.

"Unbelievable-" you muttered.

"I didn't want you to look at me the way you are now!"
"YOU CAUSED ALL OF THIS!" you exclaimed, your eyes wild. "You... You ruined my life and-and you made me fall in love with you!"

"...You love me?"
"Not anymore." That was a lie, somehow, you still loved him. But you couldn't love him anymore. Not-Not after this. "Was this whole rebellion thing a lie then?"
"No, it isn't." he finally let you go, and you took a step back. But you didn't run. "I want to destroy the fusion reactor, I thought it would stabilize-"
"But it didn't, obviously-"

"You're right, it didn't. And I have spent every day since trying to make things right, I-I'm trying so hard to fix this y/n." he took your hand, you looked up at him. "And I'm not going to stop until I've succeeded."

"...I hate you."
"You have every right to hate me." he hesitated before continuing "But those inhibitor chips... something feels off-"
"It might be those... things twisting your mind-"
The actuators hissed at you, Otto held up a hand.

"That's enough!" his foot tapped rapidly "It shouldn't have gone that far-"
"You're right, it shouldn't have-"
"Would you stop with that!" he snapped, you took a step back. His face immediately softened "No, no I didn't mean to snap at you..." his actuators chittered dangerously, poised like a snake about to strike.

"...If the chip is as bad as you say, I think it would be best if you stayed away from it." you pulled your hand away from Ottos.

"No, no please-"
Your helmet hissed as you put it on along with the rest of your suit.

"You're going to die out there-"
"I've survived out there for this long... Thank you, by the way."

His face twisted into one of confusion. "For what?"

"For showing me that nobody can protect me. Only I can."
"Y/N-"
"You'll never be able to clean this up, you'll never be able to reverse the ABSOLUTE HELL that you put us through!" your helmet fogged up as you started to sob. "Don't follow me," you muttered as you untwisted the hatch. You slammed the door shut and tried to see through your clouded helmet as well as the tears that wouldn't stop. You had never been in this area before, you decided to head West for the time being. Hopefully, you would spot a landmark that would help you figure out where the hell you were.

"Tyra! Tyra!" Cheryl called out, you turned around to see Cheryl and Anura swinging towards you. "Did you kill him?" Cheryl asked.

"No, she didn't, because Gunther could never be Doc Ock!" Anura snapped.

"...He's Doc Ock," you muttered.

Anura looked at you for a moment and laughed "No, no is this a prank? Because I pulled enough to know when I'm being..." you watched her face fall. "Shit. D-Did we blow up that warehouse for nothing? H-Has he been playing us this entire time?" she asked.

"The warehouse had to be blown up... I don't think that the whole rebel leader thing was made up-"

"Are you seriously defending him right now?" Cheryl scoffed.

"No, I'm not. And I'm not saying that we stop this rebellion..."
"So do we kill him?" Anura questioned.

"I just watched him murder over a hundred people in cold blood, we're not trying that. Let's get back, we'll need to move our base, and figure out our next steps." One of Cheryl's actuators picked you up, you turned to look back at the hatch... Why did a part of you want him to pop out and apologize?

And then you realized something.

He never apologized, did he?
