"You made the blueprints for the inhibitor chip?" Harry asked.

"I made the blueprints for the chip that your (dad rest his soul) commissioned me to make, not that... that mind control chip you've been pestering me about." Tony sat across from Harry, he looked out of Stark Tower.

"Oh please they're the same chip-" Harry started.

"One protects a mans brain from getting fried and the other controls his brain. I'm not making it, why doesn't Otto build the damn thing?"
"Otto is putting all of his energy into the fusion reactor, which is going to get me a-"
"Nobel Prize yeah yeah I've heard your whole thing. I'm not making this for you, and if you keep this up I won't give this blueprint to you either." Tony smirked.

"...do you love anyone, Tony?" Harry finally asked.

"You wouldn't." Tony snarled.

"I would, and I will." Harry pulled up a device and began scrolling through it "Let's see... There's your wife," he showed a live feed of Pepper, who was eating dinner in the kitchen with you. "Your assistant, she's like a daughter to you, isn't she?" the camera zoomed in on him. "And there's Rodney of course." he swiped the screen which showed Rodney on a plane, he was going to a United Nations meeting. "I could make it so easy to make it look like the plane malfunctioned... What a tragedy." he looked up at Tony, a smug smile on his face, his eyes cold. "I got Bullseye ready to kill both of them if I simply raise my hand, and I have someone on that plane just waiting for me to press this button."

Tony's fists clenched.

"And don't even think about attacking me, if he sees me fall, he will carry it all out." he leaned forward "So are you going to make that chip, or not?"

"...doesn't seem like I have much of a choice Osborn," Tony growled.

"You don't. Well, this has been great, you'll have it done by the end of the week." Harry tapped his screen, and the feed of Pepper and you shut off, Tony let out a sigh of relief. "I'm so happy that we worked this out." Harry gave a wave as he left.

Tony sat there in silence, he was helpless, he couldn't have done anything to protect the ones he loved.

"Hey, everything alright?" you asked, popping your head out "We got shawarma just for you."

"Yeah, yeah kid I'm alright." he gave a tired smile "...So that suit idea you had?"
"What, the one that you called bull-"
"Did I call it that?"

"Yes, yes you-"
"Anyway, I looked back at it and I think it's a great idea... Let's revisit it, make some drafts, we'll make it..."

"Badass?" you offered.

"Yeah, yeah we'll make it badass. And it will be able to protect us, right? Eliminate any threat?"
"I don't like the word eliminate... But in theory, yes."
"Good. Can you grab Pepper for me? We just have to talk some money things, super boring, you can go back and wait for us, it'll be quick." he waved you off, and you raised an eyebrow, but you didn't argue.

"Tony wants to talk to you." You told Pepper.

"Did you tell him about the shawarma?" Pepper asked, looking up from her Time magazine article.

"Of course, I told him about the shawarma, but apparently a business meeting is more important."
Pepper frowned "That's not like Tony."
"I know." you shrugged as you sat down, skimming the article that she was reading as Pepper got up to talk to Tony. They were in there for a while, you hoped they weren't... You shuddered.

Eventually, they came back out, both looking grim.
"What? Are we going bankrupt?" you joked.

"This is from that shawarma place that I like, right?" Tony avoided the question.

You opened your mouth to ask what was going on before Pepper interrupted you.

"Yes, yes it is," she answered.

You looked at the two of them and sighed. "I don't even want to know," you grumbled.

"You're right kid... you don't," Tony said, taking a bite.

"When the hell did he make this?" Gunther asked.

"2001." Dr. Karlin answered.

"That long ago?" you muttered.

"Did you know about this?" he turned to you.

"No, no I had no idea." you stammered, this... he couldn't have made this. "I knew that he designed the inhibitor chip for Dr. Octavius-"
Gunther's brow furrowed "That wasn't made by him... Oscorp made it..." he muttered under his breath.

"What was that?" you looked at him.

"N-Nothing, so this is the chip that the actuator suit uses?" Gunther turned his attention back to the blueprint.

"Yes, the chip has stayed the same while the actuator suits change each year." Dr. Karlin explained.

"That doesn't sound right..." you muttered, why would they use the same chip?

"We need to go up there, we need to stop this," Gunther said.
"Going up there is a suicide mission, Osborn is a maniac!" Flash argued.

Gunther opened his mouth to argue.

"What if we hit one of their manufacturing plants? Don't they have one down here?" Dr. Karlin interrupted.

"I've been checking it out with my team," Anura added.

"Do they manufacture chips there?" The Doctor asked.
"More chips than suits, yes."

"None of this makes any sense..." you stared at the groove, why did Tony make this?

"Nothing makes sense anymore... Fine, we'll destroy the plant tomorrow, get a team ready and send those blueprints to me." Gunther ordered as he strode out, you followed him.

The chip burned into your memory, you had to figure out what it meant.
