"Did Stark say anything about an inhibitor chip?" Gunther asked.

"N-No he didn't, he was so insistent that I focus on the suit that I didn't manage to look at his other projects." you stammered.

"Damn." Gunther cursed, he stopped and turned around, you ran into him, too caught up in your own thoughts to realize what was going on, you started to fall back, but he caught you in time, the two of you stood there for a moment, you mid-fall... Him with his arms around your waist, you could see him turn red as he helped you up, you cleared your throat.

"Y-Yes well it-it will be good to destroy that factory tomorrow." you gave a breathless laugh.
"You're not coming-"
"Excuse me?" you scoffed.

"You passed out the last time you used the suit and you have no means to defend yourself-"
"You said that you would protect me!"
"Do you not want to protect yourself?"
"...No, not really," you admitted.

Gunther sighed "If you can get those... Blasty things-" he held out his hands, outstretched.

You laughed at that "Repulsors?"
"Yes! Yes, that's the word, if you could just get those and the rocket modification done by tomorrow that would help ease my mind-"

"You would still protect me?" you interrupted.
"I will always protect you." His eyes seared into yours as he looked down at you, you turned bright red.
"O-Ok, let's go then." you stammered as you jumped into the hole, Gunther yelped as one of his actuators reached to catch you, and you smiled as you were gently lowered to the ground. "Just-Just making sure." you breathed, brushing yourself off to get started on the upgrades. "They'll draw power from the solar panels, I've been trying to figure out a way to store the energy of the suns that I absorb, but I've come up with nothing so far." you rambled on as you started to program the 3D printer. "This-This is a lifesaver I had to become a blacksmith to make the suits..." you sighed.

"...Where are the other two suits?" Gunther asked.

"Pepper had one, but she-she was taken by Oscorp. That's when they started to chase after me-"
"Couldn't they just use her suit?"

"She destroyed it, but they saw her use it... She's probably dead."
"...And the other?"
You sighed "Gave it to some kid... He never told us his name, but he helped us get all the copper in exchange for a suit. I hope he's still out there, surviving."
"You don't know where he is?"
"No, after Pepper got kidnapped we figured it would be best if we went our separate ways." you sighed. "The suit helped him, it-it really did and I just wanted to keep on helping others." you trailed off.

"You are helping others Tyra-"

"It's y/n."
"What?"
"My real name... It's y/n L/N," you repeated yourself.

"...that's a beautiful name."

"You're just saying that." you laughed.

"No, no I'm being serious." he insisted.

"Uh-huh." you teased, pressing the start button. The 3D printer buzzed to life. "It says it will take ten hours," you muttered.

"For both repulsors?" Gunther asked.

"Yes, and then another ten for the boosters... And then three hours at least for assembly... I'm not getting the boosters done." you admitted.

"It's alright, I can carry you again."
"I'm dead weight, it'll be easier if you don't take me-"
"There's going to be tech there that we're going to need your help disabling... And they are Starks chips, and you knew that it was Stark by a minuscule groove-"
"Anyone could have seen that groove, and you're not disabling that tech... You're destroying it." you turned around to face him.

"...Would it be so bad if I just wanted you there with me?" he stepped up to you.

Your mouth curved into a smile as you looked up at him "You should have led with that."

"You're right, I should have," he muttered as he slowly pulled you in for a kiss, you let out a sigh when his lips touched yours, he lifted you up by the waist and set you onto the worktable so he didn't have to lean over, your legs instinctively wrapped themselves around him, allowing you to get closer to him. You ran your fingers down his long, unkempt hair as he kissed you deeper.

"Why the hell are you putting caution tape over Gunther's workshop?" Cheryl grumbled.

"I'm wondering how she got it," Aaron added.

"Can we please get back to planning the mission?" Dr. Karlin pleaded.

"I want to know why she's doing that." Aaron objected.

"Anura what the hell are you doing?!" Dr. Karlin snapped.

Anura brushed her hands as she tied the caution tape, Frogette gave a satisfied croak, and Anura spun around. "They're about to bone." she simply said.
"...How do you know that?" Cheryl raised an eyebrow.

Anura pointed to Frogette.

"Of course." Cheryl rolled her eyes as she turned to Dr. Karlin "I'm thinking that we take this team along with..." Cheryl rambled on with Dr. Karlin, Aaron leaned over to Anura.

"Did Frogette really tell you?" he asked.

"Naw, caught them kissing before the meeting."

"...I've never seen him do... anything," Aaron admitted.

"Yep." Anura sighed "But we're giving them privacy-"

"Since when did you care about privacy? Everyone here knows your life story." Aaron scoffed.

"I didn't want them to." Anura grumbled as she squeezed in between Dr. Karlin and Cheryl "If we could make more bombs, I can easily plant them here..." she continued on.

"It-It's been a while since I've done this." Gunther admitted in between kisses, "T-Ten years, since my wife died-"
"Bringing up you-your wife?" you asked, pulling away.

"...Not the best moment?"

"Do you want to stop?" you asked.

"No, no-"
"Because you just brought your dead wife up in the middle of us making out that doesn't-"
"She-She wouldn't have wanted me to not find love again-"
"How do you know that?"
"We put it in each other's wills." Gunther laughed at himself. "She-She was something."

"...What was her name?"
"Rosalie." he sighed. "Her name was Rosalie." he leaned in for a kiss, and you shook your head as you pulled him in for a hug instead. You felt him freeze up for a moment, but then sigh as he hugged you as well.

"I think... I think I just want to cuddle," you admitted.

"Was it me-"
"No, no it wasn't you." you brushed him off "I just... Haven't been hugged in a long time."

"...Me neither," he admitted, sitting up on the table next to you, still holding you in his arms.

"Do you want to know where I got my fake name?" you asked.

"It's a strange name," he admitted.

"It was my bearded dragon's name." you gave a small smile. "He liked to eat blueberries." you trailed off.

"...I'm sorry."
"Don't be, he-he would be dead by now either way." you sighed.

"I'm going to make this all right, I promise you that."
"Nothing is going to be right ever again... But I love that you're trying." you inhaled into his shirt and sighed, you were so tired.

Gunther watched the 3D printer work as you snored into his chest, you were right of course. He couldn't fix everything, he had ruined everything chasing a dream that he couldn't have... But maybe if he destroyed that dream, the hole... the guilt he had been feeling, maybe it would go away.

It would finally go away.
