13. Finally

AUTHOR'S POV:

One week had passed. The Survey Corps were successful in practicing with the thunder spears. As per Eren's plan, only the squad members would be given the thunder spears. All the preparations were done. Historia, Zachary and Pixis came to know about Eren's titan shifting powers. They were explained everything too. They were shocked but supported Eren's plan.

Eren was now sitting infront of a small pond. He was looking at Moon and stars. He was crying silently too as he always used to do in his past life. After some times, he stopped crying.

'Will I be succeeded this time... My future version did say that I have a bright future ahead ... I know I can defeat Reiner... But, what will Dina think ?... Will she help us ?... I hope she will help us...'

He then stood up and admired everything around him. He was just bothered by the walls.

'After everything settles, I will remove the walls...'

He closed his eyes and just stood there as cold breeze hit his face. It was peaceful for him. He still had tear strains in his cheeks.

Then he heard footsteps behind him. He already knew who it was, so he didn't turn around.

The person stood beside him, looking at him with concern.

"Eren ? Why are you here this late ?" Mikasa asked.

Eren slowly opened his eyes and looked at her. After a moment of silence, he spoke up.

"I just couldn't sleep so I came here for some fresh air..." Eren replied.

"Eren. You will catch a cold if you stay this late outside." Mikasa said with concern.

Eren suddenly remembered the moment he asked Mikasa those questions. He just couldn't hold back anymore.

"Eren?" Mikasa asked with concern.

'It's now or never...' Eren thought.

"Mikasa. Why do you care so much about me?" Eren asked, looking at Mikasa.

"Huh?" Mikasa asked with confusion.

"Is it because I saved you when we were little?" Eren said. Mikasa was so confused at that time. "Or is it because I am family ?"

Mikasa blushed with mouth wide open. She was surprised by Eren's question.

"What am I to you ?" Eren asked.

His eyes were pleading for an answer. Mikasa was shocked. She was blushing heavily. She opened her mouth to say something but no words would come out.

'It's the perfect time.... It's now or never...' Mikasa thought.

She took a deep breath and said:

"Eren. You are..." Mikasa started. She was blushing heavily. Eren was just looking at her, waiting for an answer.

"Eren, you are my most beloved and my dear." Mikasa said with a gentle smile.

Eren started to tear up, hearing those words. He was smiling big.

'These words... How much desperate I was to hear these words back then....' Eren thought.

Mikasa was concerned so she hugged him.

"Eren. Are you ok? Why are you crying?" Mikasa asked with concern.

Eren hugged her back and after some moments, he stopped crying. They were still hugging eachother. Mikasa was still waiting for an answer from Eren. Then Eren started speaking.
