21. From You, 2000 Years Ago (Final Chapter)

AUTHOR'S POV:

It had been 5 years since Eren accomplished his second last mission. Everything was now going on fine. The world was now at peace after so many years.

A meeting was held to discuss about the removal of the walls. In that meeting, Historia, Dina, Zachary, all three Commanders and Eren were present.

After everyone took a seat, Zachary started speaking, straightening his glasses.

"So, now that everyone is here, we shall start the meeting... Hmm.. As all of you know, we are here to discuss about the removal of the walls that have been protecting us for more than 100 years. Eren also wants to make the world titan free. So, Eren, can you explain us your reasonings."

Eren stood up and said,

"The founder Ymir has been struck there for more than 2000 years. She has been a slave to the Royal family for most of her life. I want to free her from her nightmare.

When I was a kid, I would just waste my time, looking at the walls. I always wondered, what lies behind these walls. I always and still think that we are living like cattle. I got my answers one day. I was... Shocked to know that humanity outside the walls hadn't perished yet."

Eren explained and took a deep breath.

"I want to get rid of titan powers so that the world won't respect us out of fear. Because of these powers, the whole world has suffered enough. That's why I want to make the world titan-free." Eren finished.

Everyone were listening to him carefully. All of them were satisfied with his reasoning.

"That's a beautiful reasoning." Pixis said with a smile.

"Hmmm... Queen Historia ?" Zachary said.

"Eren is right. We have lost a lot of our comrades because of Titans. Throughout the history, titan powers are overused. Millions of people had died in those 2000 years. And also, the founder Ymir should be freed now. So, I approve Eren's request to remove the walls." Historia said.

"Now that the Queen has approved, we should start the process tomorrow. All of you may go now." Zachary said.

All of them left the meeting hall.

Eren met with Mikasa outside the meeting hall. When they met, they quickly hugged eachother. Then Mikasa started speaking.

"So, how did it go ?" Mikasa asked with concern.

"Historia approved my request Mikasa. The walls will be removed tomorrow." Eren said with a smile.

"I am so glad to hear that." Mikasa replied with a smile.

Soon they left to their quater to rest.

Mikasa was now cuddling with Eren in their quater. They were in comfortable silence. Soon they drifted off to sleep, still cuddling.

The news of the removal of the walls made all the citizens happy.

It was now the next day's evening. The sunset made the whole sky orange with its beauty.

Historia chose this time for the removal of the walls. At Eren's request, all of them were now at Eren and Mikasa's favourite place.

Soon Eren and Dina stood side by side, infront of everyone. All of them looked at the walls that had been protecting them for more than 100 years for one last time.

Then Eren and Dina held hands and closed their eyes.

Soon they arrived at the paths. As usual, Ymir was standing infront of the coordinates. Dina and Eren made their way to Ymir.
