'Oh, the stars are beautiful tonight.' You said, tangling your fingers with Clara's and pointing up at the sky. 'That one up there's my favourite. It's so beautiful.'
'Not as beautiful as you.' She replied, taking a small ring from the picnic basket and placing the box on the blanket.
'Thank you, Clara.' You said, smiling at her.
Then the ring shone in the twilight, catching your eye. So, you looked down to see Clara holding it out to you. Surprised you let out a shocked laugh.
'What? I figured since we'd technically already been engaged once, why not try again and make it official?' Clara asked. 'So, (Y/N) (L/N) what do you say? Will you marry me?'
'Yes, of course I will! Clara, I love you!' You said, happy tears in your eyes.
At this response she placed the ring on your finger.
'I love you to (Y/N). I always will.' Clara replied, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead.
Oh, if only moments like this could last forever.
