Eddie was coming over to meet your parents over dinner. You were excited but also very nervous. Your dad has always been skeptical of Eddie, however, your mom wasn't.
You slid on the short black dress your mother bought for you. You went to finish your hair and makeup. You can hear pots and pans cluttering together in the kitchen. Your mom was cooking.
You were checking your appearance in the mirror when you hear Black Sabbath playing at the end of the street. As it get closer to your home you can hear your father. "I know it's that son of a bitch, he's bad news and I don't want him near my kid" your dad was very opinionated.
Eddie was sweet and kind, he'd never lay a hand on you.
Your dad opens the door. "Hello Mr. Y/l/n, I'm here for dinner" Eddie smiles at the door "honey, come in come in, take a seat y/n will be down any minute now" your mother yells from the kitchen. Your dad moves letting Eddie through.
You come down the stairs to see Eddie in the kitchen with your parents. "Eddie" you run to him pulling him in for a hug. "Looks like someone missed me" he smiles against my cheek. Your dad looks disgusted.
Soon we all sit down for dinner and your mother starts telling embarrassing childhood stories. "Dad you need to talk to him" I look stern. Eddie's hand is placed on my thigh. I smile at him. "(Dads name) you need to speak to him, there is no reason why he shouldn't be welcomed as a member of our family" your mother reasons. "Fine".
They converse for a bit and shake hands.
Your mom calls everyone into the living area to look through all of your baby photos. Your mom probably has one hundred of photo albums.
"She was even cute then" Eddie gives you a quick kiss.
Your family continues to surf through the albums letting Eddie watch as you grew with pictures from different years.
"I just can't believe my babies already grown up, seems like yesterday you had just learned to walk" she smiles. "Mom, you're so sweet" you say.
When they finish looking your parents wish Eddie a good night and Eddie carry's you upstairs to your room.
"I was so nervous, you did so good, I'm so proud of you, Eddie" you say as soon as he closes the door.
Before he can speak you have tangled your hands in hair and begin to kiss him.
