it's around 3 o'clock and pjs parents are out.
"pj wanna help me cook?" i ask, wanting to pay back his parents for letting us stay.
"yeah sure. what you making?" he asks. i look through the cupboards for a moment before deciding.
"spaghetti," i say confidently. i boil water while pj browns meat in a pan. while cooking i feel like a little family, with maddie sleeping in the room over and pj cooking next to me, i feel really at peace. i put the pasta in before making a sauce.
"i hope your mom likes my cooking. she really is stellar," i say, remembering our food from last night.
"i'm sure she will," pj says, kissing my head. we finish making the sauce as his parents come home.
"what's all this?" mo asks when she walks in.
"we made food," johnny says.
"you didn't have to," she says with a smile.
"we wanted to. you've been so kind letting us stay," i explain.
"well thank you dear," she says, pulling me into a hug.
"babe i'll set the table you finish it up?" johnny suggests. i nod in agreement. we then sit as johnny brings the food out to the table and we all dig in.
"i wish you guys could stay longer," lemoyne says.
"us too. but we're back in NY tomorrow," johnny says.
"what are you doing there?" phil asks.
"just more filming and interviews and stuff," johnny says. after dinner we all chat for a little longer and get into bed.
"are you nervous for the interview tomorrow?" i ask, as i lay with my head on his chest.
"not really. are you?" he asks looking down at me.
"a little," i admit.
"why?" he asks.
"i don't know. i'm new to jackass what if they all hate me?" i ask.
"no one's gonna hate you honey," pj says gently.
"whatever," i say, before laying back on his chest. we fall asleep pretty easily after that.
