I walked through the backyard and found the perfect spot there was a blanket and some pillows thrown under a large oak tree near the fence it wasn't too far from the groups of people but it also wasn't too close to them, I take a seat and pick up one of the pillows holding it against my stomach, it's a comfort thing.
After sitting for about 5 minutes Robin and Steve come out "drinks are served" Steve says handing me my drink "why thank you kind sir" I respond with a chuckle to which he also laughs
"Guys I think they're playing truth or dare and- and Nancy is over there come on" Robin speaks excitedly wiggling her eyebrows at Steve. She takes my arm pulling me and Steve over to the group of people "we're playing!" She announces and pulls me to sit next to her, I look around the group to see who's all there my eye catches on a glimpse of who I think is Eddie talking to Chrissy they're laughing and smiling and far too touchy, a knot begins to form in my stomach
Jason speaks up "alright y/n truth or dare" he asks with way too much pride, I weigh my options before deciding on truth at least until I finish this drink in my hand "Truth" he smiles wide and gives me my truth "is it true that you hate the freak" he asks whilst starring down Eddie, I stand and Eddie looks up at me a small frown, he knows my answer "uhm truthfully I do but I have every right too and Jason..." I walk closer and closer to Jason while speaking "he's not a freak just because you don't like him do you even know him? Or did you just decide you disliked him without seeing that he's a nice caring person" Jason scoffs at me "y/n he is a freak the stupid game he plays makes him a freak and the way he dresses and acts he's just all around a freak" I smile at his argument and slowly I back away from him "well then I guess I'm a freak too" I flip him off and walk inside the house.
Once I close the door I stop "what the fuck just happened" I ask myself
"that's what I'm wondering" Robin pops up out of nowhere she stares at me for a second before giving me a smug smile "you still like him" "do not" I huff turning away from her "do too you totally do" I sigh she's never gonna let this go "I don't know I hate him but I still wanna stand up for him" she nods patting my back "sounds like you hate him but you're very much in love with him" I give her a look of confusion "elaborate" "love and hate two sides of the same coin you can hate someone but still love them to death" she tilts her head and I just sit there there's no way in hell I love him
"uhm you should get back to Steve make sure he's not starting fights I'm just gonna fill up my drink and I'll be out" I lie but she seems to believe me "alright you better hurry" she scolds as walks back the way she came
I walk up the steps passing horny hormonal teenagers making out on the stairwell.
I walk into one of the bedrooms that I know is empty because no one ever goes in it, it's a small library/office room. I walk in and immediately am welcomed by the smell of books and parchment which was expected, I shut the door behind me and sit down on the small blue couch, I put my head in my hands and just sit there, it's quiet here and that's not something I'm used to.
"Sweets" I hear a voice come from the door I look up to see Eddie I just look back down at my hands, I hear the door close and footsteps approaching "you stood up for me?" He asks voice cracking a bit "yeah yeah don't think to much of it" I sigh not daring to look up at him "awe come on look at me" I feel the weight of the couch shift as he sits next to me, he takes his hand placing it on my cheek forcing me to look at him, it's quiet for a moment until he breaks the silence "Thank you" he whispers and I give him a small smile he leans in slowly and without noticing so do I, we move so slowly that it feels like neither of us are moving but I know we are once our noses touch, I take in a deep breath and just before our lips touch I put my hands on his chest stopping him for a moment "I still hate you, you know" I feel his lips rise into a smile "I know" was the last thing he said before his lips pressed onto mine into a slow needy kiss "Eddie" I whisper breaking the kiss "yeah" he says trying to look into my eyes but fails as his eyes drop back to my lips "Nevermind" I say before crashing my lips back onto his into a more heated passionate kiss...
