Chapter Six: Oh. CW
ONCE AGAIN, this chapter features divorce mentions. Speeding is fine and can be necessary. Ily ❤️
Adora
Luke, Jamie, and I walk into the entryway at the Faire Court. Courtney is in tears and Alva is dressed nicely Light blue shirt and a light pink skirt and Jaime is talking to Courtney assuring her that everything is alright and so is Luke.
I am walking next to Alva who seems to be happy and a bit nervous? Everyone is helping Courtney to stop crying, and Luke is holding her hand, not caring about Covid, but I'm the only one to notice that Alva is acting strange. Then it hit me. I knew what was up, the signs are clear now thanks to the magazine article, she was in love with Luke and she was going to tell him...
Alva
I walk towards Luke, he turns his head, I then look behind me. Adora's eyes are wide like she knows what is about to happen, but how could she when I had never told anybody? Jamie is next to Courtney helping her to stop crying which is hard to do with a mask on.
I walk up to Luke, look him straight in the eye and right when I'm about to confess I freeze. Why oh why must I freeze up now. I tell myself to unfreeze but I won't, I physically can't unfreeze.
I take a deep breath and clear my throat and say
"I have loved you Luke Duncan, since I first laid eyes on you."Luke
She really said it. Right there. Courtney hadn't heard as she had to be present for paperwork, but how was I going to tell her I liked Courtney? I just figured that out. I sigh.
I say, "Well, I'm really sorry but I like Courtney."
Adora isn't surprised. Jamie on the other hand..she couldn't hide it.
"WHAT IN THE NAME OF CAPRICORN DO YOU MEAN!"
Alva is shocked which quickly turns to hurt.
She shouts "I gave you guys a chance! But you know what! You are the same as Annabelle! You.. you BETRAYED ME! As soon as I trust you, you ditch me I should never have done this! I HATE you Luke Duncan! I hate you!"
Then she runs off. She's crying even more than Courtney. I feel awful. She has every right to hate me.
-stop speeding here-
A/N: aah i will forever feel bad for court, im so heartless with my characters backstories :( I really hope you enjoyed this chapter!! I don't think I'll have to put a CW on chapter 7! I'll have to check it through. But CWS are completely necessary and people who need them are so valid. ❤️
