Chapter 21

Azazal barged through the central royal house and ran straight up to Azrozan's room.

"It is a fucking blood bath out there! The bitch didn't even wait a day after his release." Azazal walked in the moment Ramiel finished his comment.

"Azrozan." Azazal breathed out as his eyes landed on the feeble figure of his best friend on the bed.

"Great, you're here too. Now both of you, tell me what power of heaven caused this?" Ramiel asked Abdiel and Azazal.

"Azrozan was pretty messed up after m-"

"Oh for Lilith's sake! Both you brothers are dead set on always lying. Uncle, after Abdiel's incident Azrozan was dead set on finding the shooter and in that process, he killed Cael." Azazal revealed.

"Berrettas demanded a trial for the death so Abdiel and I thought that asking Azrozan to leave the area for some time will be a good idea." Azazal narrated further.

"He didn't run away with that Berretta girl?" Ramiel asked.

"He did." Abdiel spoke increasing Ramiel's lack of understanding of the situation.

"I was going to drop him outside the area but he demanded to see Seraphina once before he left. I took him there and she revealed that she was planning on running too and then the next thing I know is that I am dropping both of them off." Azazal revealed.

"The damn war is happening because everyone believes that she was taken against her will!" Ramiel exclaimed.

"Talini lied; in fact she helped her sister escape. She knew about it too." Azazal revealed further.

"That bitch! She caused this and she will pay for this! Archfiends aren't going to back down, we will fight, fight for our second in command." Ramiel expressed.

"Abdiel announce it; announce the reprisal. I will have the weapons out of the vault." Ramiel ordered his eldest and left the premise to work on the job at hand.

Azazal looked at Abdiel who was clearly lost in thought as he stared at his younger brother.

"I'm sorry but I don't think I could've handled another lie." Azazal offered an explanation.

"Its okay, somebody had to tell the truth." Abdiel said.

"Now what?"

"Now, I announce the reprisal. But before that I have a meeting to attend." Abdiel said and left the Archfiend wondering.

Talini walked into Godless with reluctance yet her posture was confident. The choice of the place gave her an insight on the type of convention she was going to be a part of.

Secretive, not official, taboo in a way and definitely something that fits the criteria of treason.

She entered the back room and locked the door behind her, having done this multiple times.

"This better be important." She said making Abdiel turn around to face her.

"Look around you empress, everything is important right now; thanks to you and your fucking lie." Abdiel said.

"Is that why you called me here? To talk about this?" Talini asked as she took a seat on the table.

"Talini, I understand why you did it, I really do. I would've done something similar in order to protect Azrozan from the wrath of my clan but this... do you even know the number of things you've sabotaged with this lie?" Abdiel asked as he took a seat just across from her.

"Abdiel, he knows about Malak." Talini revealed making Abdiel's breathing stop.

"What? How?! You and Ariel were the only ones to know in the Berretta clan! How can he know?!" Abdiel asked as he got off his seat with force.
