Seraphina had no intention of meeting Azrozan again. Not like this at least. Her feet kept walking until she reached her backyard; she glanced behind and saw Azrozan, not so sneakily following her.
She continued walking and stepped inside the small cottage. She opened the door that connected the cottage to the underground basement that was as big as the house. She stopped and heard the door open and close, marking Azrozan's presence.
"How rich are you?" he broke the silence.
"Rich enough to kill you, confess to the angels and still be safe from any legal procedures." She replied.
"Nice to see you too." He scoffed.
"What are you doing here?" she asked. Panic and anger was evident in her tone.
"Are you this rude with everyone or is it just me?" he teased.
"Azrozan." Her voice held warning. He sighed and removed his mask.
"A friend wanted me here." He replied.
"Your friend is here too? Where is she?" she asked, her panic rising.
"He is copulating some virgin girl in one of the rooms of this enormous house." He said taking a step closer to Seraphina. She gave him a strange look, a look that was a mixture of disgust and confusion.
"Why would he come to a party hosted by us just to have sex with someone?" she asked, more to herself than to Azrozan.
"Do not question Azazal Archfiend's actions." Azrozan mumbled. He watched carefully as Seraphina ran a hand through her hair.
"And you are here because you will be joining them later?" she asked, her voice dripping with sarcasm. Azrozan smiled at her usual way of talking to him.
"Maybe; jealous?" he continued his teasing, trying to ignore the seriousness of the situation.
"I have no idea what makes you think that I am jealous and I don't want to know. My point is, why this party? You do know what is happening here, right?" Seraphina inquired.
"Well I do know that a man is choosing his wife. I am also aware of the fact that the competition is between two sisters, oh and did I mention that all of them are strangers?" Azrozan retorted.
"Wow, you really have issues with us."
"Just with your ways."
Seraphina gave him an unimpressed look but deep down she agreed with him. She knew that the Berretta clan had its fair share of deranged rules.
"You being here is dangerous. Leave, now." Seraphina said. The panic in her voice didn't fail to highlight the truth of the situation. If anyone found Azrozan in the house of a Berretta council member, the Archfiend fellow would be gone and served without anyone's knowledge or cause a trial leading to a war.
Azrozan was well aware of that fact.
"Accompanying my dear friend is not the only reason behind me being here." But he didn't care. He took a step closer to Seraphina.
"Why are you like this?"
"Like what?" another step closer to the Berretta blood.
"Why can't you come straight to the point? Quit beating around the bush for heaven's sake!"
"Firstly I am not doing anything for 'Heaven's sake'. Second, I am trying to make an aura here. Let me woman!" He said.
"You do understand that you should not be here, right?" she articulated. He smiled in return, fueling her frustration.
