Chapter 15

"So I had dinner with Paxton's family yesterday." I announced to Nina as we made our way to the school library.
"Omg! You what? You two are getting serious, ain't ya?"
I shrugged. "His family was nice to me, so nice." I knew my voice showed no emotion at all.
"Uh, do you realize you're saying it like it's a sin?" She said with furrowed eyebrows. I rolled my eyes.
Leave it to Nina to always pick things out.
"Look Ronique." She continued. "I don't really know what maybe really going on with you but I want you to know everyone deserves to be nice to."
I was quiet for a while just staring into space.

"We've just been standing in front of here I think people are probably pondering if we are ever going to go into the library." Nina joked and I couldn't help but chuckle.
"I bet not." I said nudging her.

We went through and got the books we wanted and sat opposite each other.
"So how was your out with Jace?" I asked after we settled down.
I didn't even know my voice was loud till I received a glare from a girl adjacent to us. I rolled my eyes at her.

Nina's cheeks turned deep red. "Can't believe you remembered that."
I scoffed. "Why won't I remember that girl. Common spill it."
She grinned. "It was the best date I have ever had." She whisper squealed. "He took me to the park and we watched as the sun fell. I couldn't believe the sun could be so beautiful."
I visibly cringed and flipped the page of my book.
"What?" She gave me a glare.
I tried for a laugh. "Nothing. Actually that sounds lovely but isn't that for like old people?" I made sure the end sounded like a question.
"You bitch!" She threw me a book attracting the attention of most people and the blonde librarian had to walk over to us.
"I very much believe you should take that to the playground young miss." She said strictly, shooting us both glares before walking away.

They was a frown on Nina's face when I turned to her. I immediately knew I had to set things right.
"Woah woah relax girl it still sounds romantic. Jake is romantic."
"It's Jace."

Damn! I mentally smacked my forehead. So much for setting things right.
"I'm sorry." I said in the most apologetic voice.
She stared at me for a while before a smile broke out on her face.
"Anyway, who cares about what you say, fuck you." She gave me the middle finger.
I laughed then I raised a brow at her.
"What?" She eyed me.
"Okay don't tell me he just took you to go worship the sun."
She scoffed. "Of course not, he took me to a nice eatery and we ended up making out in the car." She said plainly.
"Way to go girl." I smirked. "Now I want all the details."
"No uhh, you ain't getting that." She smiled mischievously.
Before I could press on the class bell rang and God knows I really wanted to smack off that triumphant look on her face.

When school was finally over I and Nina made to leave when Cheryl and Myron cornered us.
"Ronique! My favorite girl." Myron planted a big kiss on my cheeks and I laughed.
"Hey girls." Cheryl squealed.
I wondered if they was anytime she wasn't squealing.
"Bitch." Nina smirked.
"I was thinking we could all go out this weekend, I'm sure it would be so much fun. We could go to a nice bar or a strip club or even a tattoo shop, gosh! I've been dying to try out some hot tattoos I saw online." Cheryl gushed excitedly.
"Yeah that will be so much fun." Nina said laughing.
"Of course it would." She continued. "I would meet all the cute guys and I'm not leaving without a quickie with one." She wiggled her brows at us.
"Go girl." Myron squealed and Cheryl laughed. "I'm in." He gave us a toothy smile.
"Me too." Nina smiled.

Everyone turned to me.
"What?"
"You should come with us girl. Pleaseee." Cheryl pleaded with puppy eyes.
"Uh, that shouldn't work on me but it's fine. I could go."
