I was told to go the principle office as soon as I step foot at the school, there's someone she personally want me to meet. I wasn't in any mind to meet anyone but my students, Seth seductive touches still had a hold on me as I nearly trip when I stumble into the principle's office.

Two pair of eyes inspects my two left feet as I stand between the doorway awkwardly. Principle Brown and a tall white man stand to their feet, stepping aside from the wooden desk as she introduced the man to me.

"Jalah, this is Timothy Williams,"

I stretch my hand out to him. A sudden feeling of dread washes over me,

"He was recommended by one of my good friends and will be teaching the year 6 class for now."

He connects our hand together, a firm strong handshake, not too quick nor slow. It's two perfect movements with so much hidden intent behind it.

"Last week, the other teachers had the pleasure of meeting him and his son, Peter, who is your class by the way."

Our hands detach but Timothy keeps his gaze on me. It's very intense and incredibly intimidating. His tall stance did nothing to sooth my perception of him, noting his office white shirt and black suit pants making him look more important than he actually is, like he is the principle instead.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Jalah," he greets me, smiling wide that I notice wrinkles at the corners of his eyes. "My son can be a little handful sometimes and since he is in your class, I wanted to give you the heads up." Timothy has dark hair with white strands on the side. Its gelled to an angle but combed backwards. His hair compliments his dark brown eyes, masked with friendliness but I see darkness and emptiness.

"I'm sure you son isn't that bad," I chuckle a little. Timothy erupts out a bellow of what seems laughter, foreign to my music with a hint of sarcasm in them. He jerks his side to the side, pupils enlarged as he mutters you have no idea under his breath.

I try to hide my frown with a smile and swallow a lump at my throat as I turn to Principle Brown's soft eyes. She's bubbling with excitement, clasping her hands as her shoulder length brown hair sway around as her head moves.

"Now that you have met everyone, I hope you have a fantastic stay at our school Timothy." Principle Brown praises, turning to him with a love dove hearts in her eyes. "My doors is open to everyone so if you have any queries..."

"Yes, yes of course," Timothy turns to me, inhaling, "shall we Jalah?" He gestures his hands towards the door, allowing me to head out first and I hear him exhale. If I didn't know how he looked like then I would've think he was an old man.

I feel even more weird now, a knot forming in my stomach as Timothy and I walk in silence towards our classrooms. I cower, well gravitate towards the walls, putting much needed distance between Timothy and I. I didn't really want to talk. There is nothing I have to say him.

"Congratulations," I hear him say, glancing at me as we swerve a cleaner making her way towards the bathroom.

"Pardon," I call out, seeing that my classroom in my line of sight. Timothy's eyes follow my left hand, my diamond ring sparkle under the sun like a Swan first discovered how beautiful they are.

I felt even more uneasy as I smile, my fingers absentmindedly fiddling with the ring as I try to calm my heart down.

"Thanks," I reply.

Timothy nodded halting in his tracks.

"It was a pleasure to meet you Jalah," Timothy extends his hands out, "I hope we can get along and become more than acquaintance one day, " I hesitantly accept it, "I mean as friends." He laughs as I drop my hands. I didn't find it funny so I smile awkwardly, turning my body to side a little more.
