I took a deep breath as multiple voices filled the room, there was a lot of people in the house right now...neighbors and friends, most of which were Jackie's. The Doctor seemed to pick up on my nerves so we went outside for some fresh air. Although...something told me he had some ulterior motives.

"And where do you think you're going...?" Rose asked as she followed behind us. We were now outside of the flat and in the hallway.

"Nowhere." The Doctor seemed to answer. "It's just a bit much in there for us for the moment." He referred to me, which Rose looked at me with confusion. I had never reacted like this before with the flat packed full of people...before today...before I knew.

"The talking, the noise." I just told Rose. "It's suffocating...besides...don't you think it's a bit strange that a spaceship just crashed into the Thames and they're all talking like it's just another normal day. So...excuse me if I need some air."

"Right...there's a spaceship on the Thames and you're just getting some air...?" Rose asked the Doctor.

"Nothing to do with me." The Doctor seemed to tell her, to persuade her. "It's not an invasion. That was a genuine crash-landing. Angle of descent, colour of smoke...everything. It was perfect."

"So?" Rose seemed to ask him.

"So...maybe this is it!" The Doctor told her. "First contact! The day mankind officially comes into contact with an alien race."

Yes...officially.... I seemed to tell myself as I looked at the Doctor. Never mind that the Doctor was most likely, possibly, the actual first contact Earth had had with an alien...if only Earth had known.... No...all of Human History would be messed up if they'd known....

"I'm not interfering 'cause you gotta handle this on your own." The Doctor told her. "That's when the Human race finally grows up. Just this morning you were tiny and small and made of clay. Now you can expand!" He chuckled, causing Rose and I to chuckle as well. "You don't need me. Go and celebrate history." The Doctor then started walking down the hall, pulling me with him.

"Promise you won't disappear?" Rose asked us.

"I've got Emily...of course I won't." The Doctor stated as we stopped walking, turning around to face Rose. He then searched his pockets before he pulled something out, a key. "Tell you what. Tardis key." He then handed her the key. "About time you had one. See you later." With that, the Doctor and I turned back around before we walked off down the hall.

"What about me...?" I asked him, gaining his attention once Rose was no longer in earshot. "I don't have a key either."

"I was gonna wait until we got down to the Tardis." The Doctor told me as he pulled out a second key. "But...here." I took the key and put it in my bag.

"Thanks." I told him. At least I won't get locked out again.... I told myself, referring to the time I was locked out of the Tardis in the 22nd Century Earth. "So...the Tardis. Thought you said you didn't want to put another spaceship smack in the middle of the problem."

"I lied." The Doctor told me as we walked down the stairs. "Besides...aren't you curious...? I know I am."

"Yes." I responded as we left the building the flat was in and walked out onto the lot. Music played loudly as people seemed to be having alien awareness parties. Which I found a little annoying. We walked across the lot and into the Tardis. The Doctor hurried over to the console as he pressed some buttons.

The Tardis wheezed and groaned as it started to travel. I did not like the noise. "Something's wrong." I just pointed out to the Doctor.

"Yes." The Doctor told me as he took out a small hammer.
