chapter 11 -"" THE AWAITED MEET ""

Next day
4.20 am ..

Abhimanyu reaches at akshara's building .. parks his car .. goes to her floor..
He is standing in front of her apartment ..he was about to press the bell when akshara opened the gate ..
She signalled him to come inside ..  she was wearing a olive green tank top and navy blue joggers .. with her hairs half tied up and half open .... (not so similar to her formal looks she carries in office ) , while abhimanyu was wearing a white and black stripped sweatshirt paired with camouflage print trousers ..( not so similar to what his formal looks he dons in office )

Abhimanyu walked inside and he was quite impressed with the modern yet homely vibe of her house ..
"" wow !! Your place is very warm and homely "" uttered abhimanyu while standing in the middle of her living room .. (waiting for her to show him his way ahead)
"" thanks..!! I'm glad you found it decent  enough "" said akshara coming from behind after closing the door ... giving him a generous smile "" this way !" She led him towards her study room ..

They enter the study area .. and both get seated opposite to each other ..
Akshara starts explaining him some terms so that it'll be easy for her to ask his opinions over them later ..
She suddenly starts searching for a paper and finds out it's placed on Abhimanyu's side .. meanwhile abhimanyu was also tracing his eye movements and expressions to find out what was she searching for ..
When her eyes landed on that paper on his side .. he reached out his hand to help her get it .. and same time akshara also streched her hands across the table  and there fingers brushed .. both looked up .. and they could easily depict  the chills running down the spine of the other one .. abhimanyu fisted his palm looking sideways and akshara slided the paper towards her side...while looking ... down and then towards her laptop screen ... co -incidentally both scoffed at the same time to clear out the awkwardness in the room and ended up chuckling togdther ...

The meeting ahead went smooth .. while both were glancing at each other for a stance and half more ... every now and then ... with endless heartfelt smiles ...

after an hour or so... they  thought of taking a mini break so ...
So akshara asked him "" wanna have coffee...? "" 
To which he replied ..."" yes , but only on one condition ... I'll make the coffee..""
Akshara hesitated as her kitchen remains quite messy, what would he think of her and moreover he is her guest how can she ask him to work and herself sit idol..
Abhimanyu got the idea what was going inside her head so he stubbornly stayed stern to his will ... inspite of much convincing from akshu ...
So she negotiated... by saying "" okay but can i assist you ... please .. "" by making puppy face .. and he couldn't say no to her further so he agreed...

Akshara helped him out with collecting and giving him the ingredients while he  did the rest of the part  .. the coffee was brewed .. he was pouring the coffee in mug just then akshara heard the ring of her phone so she went back on her desk to pick it up .. it was from office so she talked and immediately opened her laptop making the changes in software ... soon abhimanyu entered with two mugs of coffee ... he kept hers in front of her and was standing by the table sipping his coffee and meanwhile staring her ( coz why not !) ..while she was still on call ...
"" okay I'll figure it out ..."" with this she hung up the call and was so engrossed in her work that without even looking towards him ..she said .."" abhimanyu just check this motion logo design please ... I'm bit unclear ..."" he kept his cup .. down and .. went towards her back & bended down from back such that his face was very near to the curve of her neck .. and he placed his left arm on akshara's chair and the right arm streched out near the laptop on the table ... and he was straightaway looking into the laptop screen ... completely unknown to the effect this close proximity of his on akshara had ... she could feel his breaths fanning her neck and she just curled up her hand into a fist ..too bind her self a bit and spoke difficultly ""  these..are the two designs that my team has shortlisted ... and I'm a bit confused ..you tell me which one do you like ? "" she spoke up in one breath ..trying not to show her nervousness...
"" beautifull... designs ..well trained team i must say .."" said abhimanyu .. giving a glance towards akshara and reverted his sight to the laptop screen..

Akshara could feel his uttered words on her skin ... like he was that close to her ... so she decided she would assume as if he isn't standing here at least till they discuss this part .. just for the sanity of her fluttering heart ... or else these jitters would make her bounce up above the sky ... like they always do in his presence ...

They discussed it thoroughly ..whilst akshara trying her level best to stick to her regime ....;) meanwhile abhimanyu being completely clueless about that and subtly stealing akshara's glances while she was explaining to him with much fond ... just then the doorbell rang and akshara turned around her face in a knee jerk reaction and by that split second her lips landed up on Abhimanyu's cheek.. and abhimanyu's eyes widened ... astonished would be an understatement ..he was gobsmacked.. by that mere touch of her feathery lips on his cold cheek ...
Whilst akshara backed immediately... but she was just statled by what the freaking hell she did ( though unknowingly & inadvertently) ... but she just held her head down ... feeling highly repentant , embarrassed , and guilty all at the same time ... and out of all the mustered guilt .. she just stood up and ran towards the door trying to evade being sighted .. not before uttering a bare whisper "" I'm sorry...."" to abhimanyu...  and that whisper brought abhimanyu back on earth but uptil he could have processed it all she had reached the door knob already ... he waited for her ... whilst prepairing himself, how he would initiate his convo with akshara ... just then akshara entered in the study room.. still walking with a lowered gaze ..and silently murmured "" sorry , it was the milkman "" before sitting on her chair ... still not meeting his eyes , abhimanyu understood her guilt and embarrassment...
"" you should not be guilty for what happened unintentionally .. "" he spoke with much certainity in his voice.. while leaning his back against the wall .. hands in his pockets ... looking straight into akshara's eyes ...

Akshara .. was expecting a judgemental look in his eyes for her .. or a stereotypical look towards her ... but here he was .. standing straight ... with the same (if not more) warmth , sincerity and respect for her ... in his eyes ... and she felt a lighter on her shoulder and heart .. but still she held herself guilty ...
abhimanyu easily predicted her encumber .. hence he moved forward his eyes fixed on her and stood near her side of the table .. leaning by the edge of table with his one hand on table supporting his physique ...

Akshara was still not looking straight at him ... "" akshara !! "" he called up ... and as her name slipped from his lips ..she felt a jitter ran through..but still slowly looked up straight in his dark brown orbs ... "" don't bother yourself so much ..otherwise too i can't work with a deadpan like creature.."" he spoke purposely.. to tease her and it worked .. she furowed her eyebrows in the next instance and got up pointing her index  finger towards him ..."" excuse me , i am not a deadpan ...you must be "" abhi thought to play along .. to relieve the awkward situation ... and he stated "" oh..really ..let's see then .... who smiles the widest ... ""

With that he showed his 'thirty two' with much pride to which akshara squinted her nose in furrow and
in the flow .. akshara gave in and beamed like the headlight of rajdhani express... showing off her bright set of tooths to abhimanyu ... like a 5 yr old ... and abhimanyu couldn't do much than adoring and melting in front of her cuteness.. and he smiled his heart out ... followed by akshara's infectious laughter ...and he stared her .. adored her untill she realised his gaze over him and before she could have dropped her ear to ear smile ... abhimanyu spoke up .."" now that's the akshara i want around me ...listening to whose laughter the entire building beams out ... keep this infectious smile of yours safe and intact ..."" with that abhimanyu gave her a genial smile .. and listening to his assuring words .. akshara's eyes smiled as well feeling blessed to have met this understanding , joyous soul ... she was beaming at him with gleamy eyes when suddenly her eyes fell on the wall clock it was 5.45 already they had just 15 mins left and both of them rushed to complete the left over work ...

They completed it all by 6. 00 am and abhimanyu left not before giving akshara a polite side hug and she reciprocated it gleefully...

Huh !! So as promised here is the next chapter ( probably the longest one till date )
