For the next two-three weeks ... the riots continued ...
In this while ... akshara and abhimanyu had a few conference calls... Which went smoothly and quite formally ... as dhruv and reesha used to be present in those conference meetings as well with them ...
But inspite of all that ...the glances were still being stolen....( virtually though ).. The eyes contacts were still being locked...( at least till the wi - fi glitch used to intterupt )... they used to have some small talks via texts...( uptil the awkwardness about forgetting the actual reason behind the text used to strike them )... but none of that satisfied there craving of feeling each other's presence , but neither did they went any extra mile nor made any efforts ...just to ensure it doesn't gets awkward for the other one...(my silly dorks (sigh)! )
Their teams advised them not to pull off another offline meeting uptill the curfew ends... as the restrictions were increased and the situation had became more dangerous on the streets of Bangalore.... much to abhimanyu and akshara's disappointment they agreed to this as they lowkey prioritized the safety & protection of each other much more than the comfort and warmth they could experience in each other's presence in those in person meetings..
×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-× After three long weeks today the streets of Bangalore will be witnessing the honking on traffic lights .... the screaches of late employee's cars... the headlights dancing on the, for once busiest roads ...eagerly awaiting to get the charm of the city back ...as soon as possible...
Akshara also hitted back to her normal routine from day 1 itself .. and what else could be the foremost activity to start her day and this post curfew routine of her's, than a morning walk & a cup of coffee from Starbucks ..
It was 8.00 am She walked through the open and carefree streets of Bangalore which were ready to chirp and chuckle after the long curfew (which seemed to be lasted for an eternity for her... you guys know why ;))...
She stepped inside the starbucks store which was nearest to her office... the staff greeted her a good morning , she smiled and ordered a latte... in few minutes they handed over her coffee.. she had payed already, she held her coffee in one hand and was putting her wallet back from the free hand ... but as she was about to turn around ... her foot twisted on the recently mopped floor and she was expecting a major fall out... so she squeezed her eyes shut at that very moment to avoid all those judgemental and embarrassing gazes when suddenly a strong arm grasped her waist ... and it didn't took her a single second to figure out who it was.... she identified the person just by his warmth and touch... while her eyes still closed ...she clutched his t - shirt by her fist to reassure herself that she didn't fell as he has came to her rescue... and her breath hitched when she felt his breaths fanning her face .... she slightly parted her eye lids to meet his concerned,deep,dark eyes... and that gave a final affirmation to her conscience that yes....it was him only ...!! ( well although you people are smart enough to guess who it was but just for the sake of telling ...I'm revealing that yes it was Abhimanyu!! ;))
Abhimanyu's face was clearly showing concern for her ...if he hadn't reached on time... , longing for her being around..., satisfaction that she is alright.. , happiness of meeting her after soo long...all at the same time .... he was still holding her ... looking straight into her eyes as if trying to peek into her soul ...
Akshara's eyes glimered with a different spark after finally meeting those twin flames in person after so long .... her soul was dancing and her heart was jumping and thumping .... despite of how, with much efforts ,she was trying not to show her fluttering self ...
they heard the creekening sound of gate when someone else entered inside and they landed back on earth realising their posture in the middle of the starbucks cafe :D , they tried straightening up themselves.... to avoid any further embarrassment in front of the staff ....there ...who were constantly gawking at them right since the beginning of the trip and catch ....
(Probably they saw the chemistry as well just like you and me .... ;))
While they were straightening up .... that person who had just entered was so focused in his phone (may god blast him) that he collided with abhimanyu and akshara ....resulting in all three of them falling on the floor ....on there backs...the world seemed dancing with moon and stars for all 3 of them... ( no wonder the starbucks flooring was worth the money :,( ))
They both paid for there respective coffee cups and rushed out of the cafe as soon as possible ....(they didn't shared a single a word in the meantime) As they were back on the streets ...both simultaneously gave a look to each other .... and 3,2,1..... both of them bursted out laughing so...hard...as if there was no tomorrow.. To say they were laughing there heart out would be an understatement....coz they were litreally laughing all there organs out ...
They were not laughing on the trip and fall but the judgemental looks they were served with after that ....the muffled look of that third man who just had happened to give a guest appearance in there trip and fall tales accidentally back there ;D ....
After laughing out for 10 mins non stop on the streets of Bangalore... over there goofiness they finally settled to exhausted chuckles while still holding there stomachs that were hurting coz of there long laughter session ...& in the warmth of the moment akshara pulled him in a hug so fierce on his ribs that made him hard to move from his spot and she whispered lightly near his ear "" I MISSED YOU!! "" and gave him a squeeze by her skeletal arms around his torso to bring him back on earth ...
she was about to part away realising that he hasn't reciprocated making her tug a bit awkward ...but..soon...abhimanyu reciprocated with equal mellowness...wrapping his hulk sized arms over her teensy-weensy figure...and replied back " I MISSED YOU TOO! ".... They remained liked that for what felt like infinity to them...
It is said that distance makes people fall apart...or it drifts away the connectivity...in a relationship....but here in there case ...distance only has brought them closer....the longing only made them express themselves more...without letting any awkwardness get any space between them again and snatch away this bliss moment from there share...
They pulled away...but none of them let the awkwardness appear as they passed an affectionate smile to each other...
"" morning coffee got spoiled ...."" said abhimanyu inacting fake playfull dejectedness... "" my office is nearby come let's grab a coffee there..."" said akshara quite evidently catching his mischievous complain.... Listening to which abhimanyu right after agreed with a 32 diamond displaying smile :D ..
At least now the efforts are visible from both the sides ! As it is said ....everything happens for good...and probably this distancing was needed for them to uncover there shield of pretence in front of the other ♡
