Part 5

Dinner was amazing! Marco's mom was an amazing cook and I got my favorite food so it's a win win! I grabbed another taco and my mom looked at me, "Estrella, haven't you already had 3?" She asked, "um yeah, why?" "You don't wanna get fat?" She asked, "madre, I'm gonna eat the dang taco" I said, "Alma, she a twig!" My dad added. Honestly I don't know if he trying to make me feel better or worst. I hated getting called skinny more than fat. I looked down and shoved the whole taco down my throat.

Later I went to my house to go get my pijamas, I felt really bad as I looked at the tag, it said 'XCH' which meant extra small. I just tried to get my mind off it and went over to Marco's house. I walked down the hall where his room was, "h-" I stopped and saw in the crack of the door he was softly sobbing. "This is why no one likes you!" Marco told himself, I really wanted to help him but I don't think that's my place. I should help him if he asks for help. I walked stealthily back down the hall way and shouted, "Tia Gloria, where is Marco?" "In his room" she shouted back. I walked back to Marco's door, I heard some noise and then I opened the door. "Hey Marco" I said, "uh- hey" he replied. I hated to see him like that, his face all red and his eyes puffy. I walked over to him and sat down on his bed, "so um is there anything that bothering you lately?" I asked, "no why do you ask?" "Well because there is for me." He turned to look at me, I was all spread out on his red blanket. I hesitated, "um never mind" I said as I sat up, "Estrella, you can tell me anything you know" he replied, "no just forget it, I'm probably just being dramatic" I said. We both laid back on the bed, it was silent for a few seconds and then I said, "I like you" Marco didn't reply for a few seconds "thanks I like you too" I sat up and we both smiled. "Just to be clear as a friend right?" We both laughed "of course, idiot" I replied. The whole night we stayed up all night watching movies, laughing, and just talking. I really just liked the little things like these, they really just bring out the best in our friendship.

I woke up with the sun in my face, the light tinted green because of the curtain. I wasn't sure what time I fell asleep, I also didn't know what time it was. I looked over to see Marco sound asleep, with the covers half way on him. I moved them up to cover his neck. Then my phone vibrated. I flipped it open, "hello" I said in a sleepy, scratchy voice. "Hey Estrella, can you come over to my house, I kind of need to talk to you about something" it was Maria, she sounded sort of like she did something bad. "Oh okay" I said, "thank you so much, see you a bit" she replied. I looked over at Marco, I shouldn't wake him, he needs to sleep. I walked out the room and down the hall. I saw Marco's Parents sitting on the couch watching their telenovelas, "oh hi, Estrella, is Marco awake?" Marco's dad asked, "um no, I have to leave though, I need to go to my friends house" I replied, "okay, see you later, Estrella" Marco's mom said.

I went to my house and quickly got changed, I walked for about 7 minutes to Maria's house. Her house was in one of the more nicer neighborhoods, not like Victor but definitely nicer than mine. I ran inside and went straight to Maria's room. "I'm here" I said. Maria and Val were sitting on the bed. "Okay now that you're both here" Maria said, she stood up and closed the door. "Come here" she said and me and Val got closer, "last night I stayed at Pablo's house and we...you know...that" she whispered. Me and Val's eyes widened, "holy crap, really?" Val asked, "yes" Maria said as her face went super red. "Knowing how shy you two are, how?" I asked, "well I really don't know how it happened, just one thing led to another I guess" Maria replied. "So how do you feel?" I asked, "what do you mean?" "Like, I don't know, it's weird to thing you're not a virgin" "please don't put like that!" Maria said as her entire face went red. "Okay okay sorry." It was kind of weird to think about it though...NEVER MIND DONT THINK ABOUT IT!!
