Part 6

It was the day of Cruz's party, I heard literally everyone in year 10 is going even from other schools. I feel like it's gonna be fun! I put on my dress. It was a bit bigger than it was when I tried it on, did I lose weight?! I groaned as I laid back on my bed. Maria's mom is helping her and Val get ready. I told them I was just gonna meet them there. I wish I had a mom like that. I love my mom but she doesn't show love like Maria's mom or Tia Gloria. She never ever talks to me about girly things. I sat up and did my hair. Nothing fancy at all I just put it in a high ponytail. I put on my shoes and all my jewelry and headed to Marco's house. Marco's dad was dropping us off. I walked down the hall to Marco's room. He was tying his tie. And I got a weird feeling deep in my stomach. It was like the same feeling you get when you have a crush on someone. He looked up and we stared at each other. "Wow you look amazing" I said, "y-you too" Marco replied. I pinched his face gently, "I've never seen you so fancy" I said. Then Marco's mom walked by us, "well don't you too look fancy" she said, "Marco you're tie is wrong" she said and went up to Marco and adjusted it, "there, you look so handsome" she said as she stepped back, "mamá!" Marco groaned "you look beautiful too, Estrella" she said as she turned to look at me, "thank you, Tia Gloria" I said. She leaned in and whispered in my ear, "I know your mom is not the best with the girly stuff and teaching you how to become a woman. If you need anything from me I'm always here" she said, "thanks, Tia" I replied.

We were in the car on the way to the party, Cruz's house was quite far from ours. We pulled up to the gate, "ay chihuahua" Marco's dad said, I looked out the window. HER HOUSE WAS HUGE! She was definitely like Victor rich! We pulled up to the front door, "you kids have fun, call me if you need anything!" Marco's dad said as we got out the car. We walked up to the front door, I can't believe it, I was about to enter my first high school party. Me and Marco walked in together. There was so many people! There was people dancing, drinking, laughing. I was so excited. Everyone looked so nice and fancy and the music was loud! I quickly spotted my friends , "I see Val, Maria, Pablo, and Diego!" I shouted to Marco. You could barely even talk over the loud music. I grabbed Marco's hand and we worked our way through the crowd to where our friends were. "Hey guys!" I said, "OMG, RELLA!" Val said as she hugged me, "you look so amazing!" She said, "you too!" I replied. Everyone looked so good! Val was wearing her Cinderella dress, Maria and Pablo were matching, Maria in her red dress and Pablo in a black button down with a red tie and pants, Diego was wearing a gray button up with a blue tie and black pants. I went up to Marco and got on my tip toes to be at this ear, "hey Val and Diego are matching too" I said. We both chuckled as we smirked at them. "Um me and Marco, are gonna go get some drinks and Maria and Pablo wanna go too right?" I said, "what-" I pointed at Val and Diego, "ooh yeah we do" "see you guys later, have fun" I said and we all walked in the kitchen.

There was some people in there, mostly people trying to get away from the loud music. "Is this all they have?" I asked as I saw a bunch of alcohol on the counter. "It's fine, I could go for a beer" Marco said as he reached his hand into the box of corona, he cracked it open and took a sip. "Ooh- that's interesting?" He said. I took the can away and took a sip. "Ew oh my god, how do people drink that?" I asked. I handed it back to Marco, "I kind of like it" he said as he took another sip, "okay?" I said. I looked around the kitchen and saw Victor! "Omg that's Victor!" I said, "ew" Marco said. I walked up to them, "hey Victor!" I said, "who is that?" A boy asked, "um I don't know?" Victor said, "you kind of hot, what's your name?" Another boy asked, "uh-" "just kidding, this is my girlfriend, Estrella!" He said as he put an arm around me, "Victor, I didn't know you had a girlfriend!" A girl said, "yup we started dating in the summer" he said. Did Victor act like he didn't know me, until another guy started hitting on me?! I looked back at Marco and smiled at him. He smiled back as he waved at me.

A while later I was dancing with Victor and his friends, it was so much fun! I was literally having the time of my life! I looked around and saw Val. I walked over to her, "hey Val!" I shouted over the loud music, "hey, are you having fun? I saw you dancing with Victor" "yeah it's so much fun! Where is Diego?" "He went to get some drinks" she replied. Then 2 guys walked up to us, "h-hey c-cutie" one said to Val, "um hey" "I-I was wondering if you wanted to d-dance?" He said, "um no thanks" Val replied. "So...hey" the other guy said to me, "you wanna dance with me?" He asked, "sorry I have a boyfriend" "of course you do, but he don't have to know, bebé " he said as he touched my face. I was really uncomfortable, he touched my face?! "HEY SHE SAID NO GET OUT OF HERE!!" Val yelled at him and they both left. "Um thanks that was really uncomfortable" I said, "no problem, Rella, you're my best friend" Val replied. Then Diego walked up to us, "hey what happened I saw you yelling at some guy" Diego said, "oh it was nothing" Val replied. "Well I'm gonna go dance, have fun!" I said as I walked back up to Victor. "Oh I was just looking for you, bebé. Wanna go upstairs?" Victor said as he pulled him in by the waist and tried to kiss me, I pushed him away, "you smell like beer" I said, "you're no fun" he said.

It was a while later, about 23:00 I think. I was trying to find Marco. The music was still really loud even though most people had already throw up from drinking too much. I went in the bathroom and looked at myself. My makeup was a bit smudged and my hair was a bit lose. I looked at my body again. God why was I so skinny? All I want is to be a normal size so people don't ask, 'are you anorexic?' Then I realized tears had filled my eyes, I wanted to see Marco.
