I quickly rushed back to my room to get my envelope of money. I took it out and started counting. This is it! I have enough! 6,200 pesos! I quickly ran to Cruz's house. Her mom opened the door. This is the first time I ever saw her mom. She was beautiful just like Cruz, she had long black wavy hair and the light brown eyes that cruz had. "I'm Cruz's classmate I came to give her something" "Cruz!" She called and Cruz came running down the stairs. "A girl from school needs to talk to you." "Oh it's you" Cruz said, "yes it's me, anyways I have the money" "really?" She said, "yes" I handed her the envelope, she opened it and started counting it. "Well I don't know how you did it but it's all here" "great so can I have my diar-" "thanks." Then she closed the door right on my face. I heard the locks click and that was it. She took the money and just left?! Oh my gosh! She's still gonna tell everyone! Of course, that was her plan all along! She just wanted money and she's still gonna tell everyone!

I quickly called all my friends, starting with Val. "Hey" she said, "hey Val, I have a question" "okay" "will we be friends forever, even if there was a terrible rumor that I hated you?" "Um that's a weird question but of course, I'll be your friend no matter what" "okay bye!" Then I called Maria, "hey Maria I have a question." Then I called every single person I wrote about and asked them that. I was really hoping they were saying the truth.

A few days later it was me and Marco's birthday. Every year he calls me and Midnight just to tell me happy birthday and I tell him happy birthday. It was so nice having the birthday as your best friend. It was almost time for the party and Val and Maria came over and we got ready together. I was still feeling really down, because my mom was in the hospital while I go out and have fun. It just made me feel guilty. "So how is your mom?" Maria asked, "um idk, they won't tell me anything about it" I replied, "oh that's so sad, I really hope she'll get better" Val said, "I'm sure she will she always does." Val was doing me Jaír will Maria was picking out my outfit. "Omg you still have this?!" Maria asked as she pulled out my 5th grade graduation dress, "oh yeah and the worst part is that it still fits me" I replied, we all laugh. I really hope that Cruz doesn't say those things, I don't wanna lose this.

We all got ready and headed to Cruz's house. My dad drove us. We pulled up to the front, "have a nice time girls" he said as we got out, "bye papá!" I said. People were already arriving. It was like as many people as the other party. "Come on let's go find the guys!" Val said and we all looked around. The music was already blaring, of course. We walked into the kitchen and found Cruz. "Hi guys!" She said as she was putting the drinks out on the counter. "Hi Cruz have you seen the guys?" Maria asked, "yeah there over in the living room" she replied. We walked over to the living room and saw them sitting on the couch. Marco got up and hugged me, "happy birthday, Estrella" I giggled "happy birthday, Marco."

A while later so many people arrived. It was actually pretty fun, I was with my friends dancing, laughing, and just having fun. I really didn't want to lose this. I was still terrified if Cruz was gonna say it. But I was having so much fun so I wasn't that worried. I saw Victor for the first time in months, we were now on good terms, and his friends apologized to me too.

A while later Cruz brought out the cakes. Mine was a strawberry cake with yellow frosting and in big candles it said 'happy 16th birthday Estrella.' Marco's was a vanilla cake with Green frosting that said in big candles, 'happy 16th birthday Marco.' Both of the cakes were huge which wasn't surprising there was a ton of people. "Okay guys were gonna take a picture!" Cruz said, "um you, can you please that this picture?" She asked the first person in the front. Cruz handed him, her camera and we all posed. Me, Marco, Cruz, Val, Maria, Pablo, and Diego. "Okay let's sing happy birthday, to my amazing boyfriend!" And everyone sang us happy birthday. I don't usually make a wish on birthday candles but I did this time, I wished that everything will stay just the same like this, even when we're adults and have our own life. Then we both blew out the candles. "Wait everyone!" Cruz said, "before we go back to partying, the birthday girl has something she wants me to read to you." Oh my gosh! This is it, my whole life is ruined. I walked up to Cruz, "I payed you!" I whispered, "yeah but I don't care this is fun" she whispered, "you're a monster!" "Yeah well some people do say I'm the devil in disgust." "Anyways I just have to read it!" She took out the book" I was literally sweating, "hey, Estrella are you okay?" Val asked, No! Of course not! "Yeah I'm fine." "This is a diary entry, and it just says such sweet thing about her dear friends" she said as she looked back at all of us. "October 23, 1990, today was Cruz's party and I had a lot of fun. I hanged out with Victor's friends and told them how I really feel about my friends, like how I really think that Val is really annoying and can be extremely obnoxious" "Estrella, what the hell!" Val said, "n-no I-" "or how I think that Pablo is extremely controlling on Maria" "what! You think I'm controlling on Maria?!"
