Hawks' POV

Could this get any more lame

On a day off something has to happen which ruins my precious time to myself

I wanted to spend this time to myself to theorize and reflect on my decisions -- more specifically, why exactly Y/n's demeanor changed around me from when I first asked her to be my intern to now. She was more open to talking to me about her ideals and what she thought was important in her life

But when she started working with me she stopped viewing me as a someone she could talk to comfortably, and more just like her boss

Granted I am her boss, but when I asked her to be my intern I asked because her personality was something that intrigued me

It reminded me of what I used to be

Before....

Anyways I was rudely interrupted by a call from none other than Endeavor about another intern kidnapping, which immediately caught my attention

"And bring your intern too" He speaks calmly

"Are you crazy?! You want me to put her in danger?"

"Look as far as I know she's not even someone they consider because the fact is they're looking for people with directly offensive and recovery quirks"

Something about what he said didn't sit right with me, even bringing Y/n for some reason made my stomach turn but I shake my head as I find her, seeing another person with her—someone that looks about her age.

"Stop it" She muttered. "Don't pretend like you don't know what you did all those years ago. I haven't forgotten, and I won't ever forget Felix. We are not friends anymore"

He looks at her, frustration evident on his face. "I was hoping we could move past that Y/n"

"I'm not just going to forget about it just because you decide to suddenly be sorry. You don't get to be free from the guilt you have if I have to live with what happened for the rest of my life"

"Y/n..."

"Hey kid" I speak out of no were, interrupting the conversation, sensing her discomfort. "Mission"

After that, she didn't say much. I wondered what was going through her mind, but it's as if there are walls around her.

And now

She's gone

"H/n!"

The smoke wouldn't clear, out of instinct I fly up quickly, trying to see if I could find her, but nothing. Quickly growing more impatient I use my wings to attempt to blow away the smoke, which does but by the time it fully clears, there is no trace of anyone. I feel my throat close as Endeavor opens his mouth to speak, but I zoom off before he does.

I fly a few laps around the block, seeing nothing but civilians living their everyday lives, which for some reason makes my anger only rise. Making my way back to where I left everyone, I sigh coming back down, standing next to Endeavor and the girl again.

"I've sent other heroes to look around for her. As for right now, we must focus on what we were here for"

"You want me to just forget what just happened? She's my responsibility"

"She is also a hero" Endeavor crosses his arms. "She should be able to handle this"

"Um excuse me" The girl next to us speaks up, earning a scowl from me, "Did you say H/n?"

"Can't you hear? Yes I did"

"Wow I'm shocked" She starts, letting out a nervous laugh, gaining my interest. "I'm surprised she went to become a hero. After middle school I didn't think she would. Not after what I and Felix did"

"What are you talking about"

"We drove her to almost death"

~Y/n POV~

I let out a small groan as I attempt to push myself up from the floor, my body not listening to my brain, which made me sigh in defeat. Footsteps begin to approach me, so I close my eyes and steady my breathing in order to pretend I'm still asleep.

"Who is she?" Someone said

"No idea. Kurogiri said he and Ikki was hanging around where the heroes were and and Ikki used his mind reading ability and heard this girl figure out the plan. They both acted before she could actually tell anyone and now she's here." The other responded.

"Do we at least know what quirk she has?"

"No, she was one of the ones that we didn't get any information on"

'I could use this to my advantage'

"Where is Ikki now?"

"He wanted to take a leave. I'm not sure why. He just said he had something to do."

"Should we take her quirk too?" My blood runs cold, making me hold my breath

"We have limited supply, we shouldn't waste it. If we take hers and it turns out to be not good, we just wasted a resource and would then not be able to take someone else's which we actually considered."

The two of them open the gate, putting in other interns and sidekicks that have been kidnapped before quickly shutting it and walking away. The cuffs around my wrists make it hard to move, but my hands aren't covered, which can be used to my advantage.

Although...maybe I can use where I am to my advantage first. If I can get some information on the League of Villains, maybe I'll be worth something.

I hear the cries of someone next to me, making me actually sit up and turn my head. It's Rika. She's crying, but can't wipe her tears as her hands are covered completely and tied to the wall.

"Rika..."

She stops, looking at me, tears welled in her eyes. "Do I know you?"

"Yeah...its Y/n"

"Y/n..." More tears well up in her eyes. "Why are we here? What are they gonna do to us? Tell me what do they want with us?"

"Rika..."

I didn't say much. I know they won't do anything to me because they don't know anything about me. With Rika however, they most definitely are gonna take her quirk.

But if I act now this will be in vain

I bite my lip, not saying anything, bitterness slowly eating at me. If I'm honest her tears did make me feel bad at first. Now though, I don't really care if she loses her quirk

She only wanted to become a hero for the fame anyways

So would sacrificing her to find out more about the League really be a bad thing

I wonder

What would Hawks do?
