I locked the door behind and started to take off the heavy jewelleries and the dupatta,everything was suffocating me.
After the sangeet night everyone settled on their rooms, tired from all the dancing.

It was hard for me to stay with Aditya most of the time not because he was intorelable but because of the plan. I have to make sure that people see us as a couple, so for that we had to perform a couple dance with holding hands and smiling like idiots.My jaw hurts with all that fake smiles.

I unzipped my blouse and was about to take it off when I spotted a shadow behind the curtains of the glass door. I was terrified knowing that someone was in my room and I'm unarmed. What if he is here to kill me.

Before I could move an inch the person came out of the curtain and the sight of him soothe my pumping heart.

Wait a minute,he was here all the time and was looking me getting undressed. Arrgggghh... He will always be a jerk.

"What the hell are you doing in my room? " I clutched my blouse tightly.

"Baby, did you forgot you invited me" He said laying on the bed shamelessly staring me.

"Yeah but you are not supposed to be here before me and that too hiding behind the curtains"

"I wanted to surprise you", he winked and moved towards me.

I started to move back till I hit the dresser. His eyes were struck on something behind me,when I turned around I realised he was looking at my bare back.My cheeks heat up and quickly turned back but still he could see it through the mirror.

" Stop looking at me, pervert"

"I can't"

He closed the distance by clutching my waist, my hands automatically raised up to his chest.

"I don't know what you have done to me, but I cannot get you out of my head. Everyday away from you is torture", he said staring back into my eyes. He touched my cheeks with his warm hands and my eyes closed naturally to feel his touch.I could feel his breath on my lips, he was getting closer.

His hands raised up to my bare back and I hugged him instantly because my heart was drumming aloud with his mere presence.He clutched me more tightly in his arms and I adjusted my head on his neck. I could feel his beard tingling my cheeks and his aroma soothing my soul.

We stayed liked that for five minutes, feeling each other. And then I untangled myself but he still haven't left me completely, holding me closer with his one hand on my waist.

I have never thought that one day this jerk can make me feel relieved.He was staring me continuously with a serious expression on his face.

"Tell me you don't want to marry that guy. I will reap him apart if he again tried to get close to you let alone holding your hand.Something is wrong, I can sense it.You don't want to be with him, I know"

"But he is going to be my fiance"

"No.I will not let that happen"

"Why? "

"Because"

"Because what? "

He looked down and then after a moment he left my side and went towards the terrace garden.

"You called me to talk about something" He said with a change in his tone.

I asked him to wait for a moment and let me get changed first.I went inside the washroom and changed into my comfortable tshirt and shorts.

When I get out he was still standing on the same place looking outside.I went beside him and cleared my throat to get his attention.

"I need your help"

"Hmmm? "

"You are right, I don't want this engagement because.. ", all of a sudden Kevin buckled and covered me with him and we fall on the ground.Before I could ask him anything, the glass door behind us shattered into pieces.My heart was racing with the sudden fall and the sound of a bullet fire.

Kevin was covering me like a shield when we heard another shot.Oh my God, what is happening.

"Baby, hold me tight and do not move okay? ", Kevin whispered. I buried myself into his chest while shaking frantically from the multiple shots.

After the firing stopped,within five minutes everyone was inside my room.
Relieved that I was all right sitting on my bed and shocked on seeing Kevin by my side holding me tight.Once he realised he stood up and mom engulfed me into a hug.

"Are you hurt? ", Dad asked.

I shook my head in response.Bhai called the security, thrashed them for their lack of negligence and Dadisa was rooted to her place lost in her own thoughts.

Kevin took his permission to left and dad followed behind. I know dad will not let this slide, a man in my room at this time of the hour was surely an unacceptable thing.Mom didn't bring out this topic because she was thankful to Kevin that he saved me.

"What was he doing in your room? ", Dadisa questioned when it was just mom and me.

I couldn't find any excuse, it's like I went numb.My silence made her doubts more clearer.
