Chapter 26

Maanyata's POV

I left my suite and went back towards the courtyard, looking for Unnati.I don't have to find her because she came rushing towards me when she found me.

"Everyone was searching for you", she said looking concerned clutching my hands into hers.

That means Bhai and all must have known where I was, I have to prepare a rational excuse to satisfy them.

"BTW your Darji has arrived with Sarab Mamu and Preeti Mami."

I was delighted after hearing about my favorite Darji's arrival,he must be waiting for me.I started to move towards first floor where he was, when Mom came towards me telling me about his arrival.

Darji is special to me, he always adored me more than my siblings.He is sweet but has a powerful authority in him making everyone to follow his commands.And that makes Dadi Sa and Darji have a sour relation as they both are headstrong.

I went to the corridor where I saw him sitting on the chair with his back towards me.

"Darji... ", I called him excitedly and ran towards him.

He turned around to see me, and at the same time my eyes landed on a man sitting beside him on a black shirt.I stopped in my track, shocked with my heart racing as if I have been caught stealing.

He was staring back into my eyes soon my view blocked by Darji as he stood up and took me into his arms.

"Mera bachha",Darji said being elated.

Recovering from the shock but being uncomfortable from his continuous stare, I cleared my throat to regain my voice.

" I'm happy that you came, now I can do whatever I want without getting scolded by anyone", I said looking at Bhai because he must have known about my investigation behind his back.

I saw Amir and greeted him, asking about Khalid and his family. I kept on ignoring the devil that is the best I can do.

Darji took his leave to rest for sometime before tonight's program and Bhai asked Aditya to keep accompanying Amir and the devil,because he has to meet the rest of the guest.I didn't know Bhai has invited them.

Bhabhi kept on looking me with amusing eyes then I stood up and took her inside with me.

"Maan, don't you trust your brother? ", she asked me.

" Of course I do. "

"Then stop involving yourself so much in this issue, your brother can handle him. "

"I know and I'm sorry. "

"And BTW he is hot", bhabhi winked at me with trading smile.

" Who? ", I know whom she is referring to.

"The one who can't keep his eyes off from you.And don't try to deny it because nothing can be hidden from my eyes. "

"Bhabhi you are exaggerating.Come on you need to rest before the program, let's go."

"No,I can manage on my own. You can go to your suite. "

She went back towards her suite and I was moving towards mine crossing the corridor where the devil was seated with Aditya.

I started to move,ignoring the stares when Aditya came in front of me.

"How's your trip to the passage? I hope you found the other end", he murmured.

I walk past him but couldn't move further as his hand curled my wrist.

" Where's the box? ", I went aghast hearing him.
