Run Girl Run

There were screams everywhere, cars being tossed and people running around frantically. I was still in shock at what I'd done and the fact that Agatha hadn't followed after me. But this was something else.
"Watch out!"
Someone slammed straight into me, "sorry." The girl apologized and quickly ran away. In her wake the street crumbled, as though she was being chased by some large invisible creature.
"HEY WAIT!" I called after her, and took of sprinting.
"Hey come back!"
I chased the girl into a bus, flinging the doors open with magic.
"What the?" She hardly had time to react to my powers before we were lifted up.
Suddenly the buss broke into little peace's, I managed to levitate in the air but the girl was hanging onto a bar almost ready to fall.
I screamed when I saw what was outside. A giant monster with one large eye and horrible tentacles.
It reached for the brown haired girl dangling from the poll but didn't get far before it's tentacle was sliced clean off.
"What is that?" I screamed, but she fell before she could answer.
I shot a hand out to save her but not before a red cape broke her fall. A second later it returned and swiped me up before placing me onto the ground next to the girl.
We stared in shock at our saviour, a middle aged man in blue robes wielding magic.
He stared back at us before the girl shouted, "Look out!"
The creature flung a car at us but it was sliced in mid air by his magic.
The man turned to the girl next to me and looked at her, "do I know you?" He asked, "and you," he turned to me, "how did you-"
He didn't have time to finish as the monsters tentacle bashed him into the side of a building. Glass shattered and I screamed. The girl pulled me under the monster with her to hide but it wasn't long before it discovered us.

"Runnnn!" I screamed and shot at it with magic. It did nothing so we ran, but one of the monsters tentacle arms grabbed the girl beside me.  She screeched as it plucked her up but crackling orange magic lalssoed her and took her from the monsters grasp. It was from another man who appeared and battled the monster head on.
"Common let's go!" I shouted, pulling the girl along with me. We ran as fast as we could but the monster was gaining on us, just then the same cloak that had broke the girls fall earlier wrapped around our arms and lifted us to hire ground.
The monsters threw a motorcycle that just missed us and we landed on the edge of a high up building.
"Oh my god." I breathlessly backed away from the edge, offering my hand to the girl next. The monster was still after her though and it began to climb closer and closer towards us.
"We need to do something." I said in panic, despite the two men still trying to help. It was apparent by now we needed more power than they could give.
"Use your power again!" She screamed but not before a tentical broke through the little ground we had holding us. We backed up on what little of the platform was left barely escaping it's grasp.
Seeing the man in danger the girl stomped down on the platform. I watched in shock as a star shaped whole fell and angered the monster further. It roared, and it's one angry orange eye glared up at us.
"Oh no." She whispered.
"Ahhh!" I flung my hand forward and shot it straight in the eye with a blast of golden power. But it wasn't deterred, just before it would've catapulted us both the man with magic flung a lamppost straight through its eyeball. The creature withered and fell to the ground, an ugly dead corpse. The man flew towards us and created some sort of portal to bring us back to the street.

"Who are they?" The other man asked. Staring at me and the girl.
"I was gonna ask the same question."  The cloaked man said, "especially about you."
He turned to me, "how did you do that?"
I glanced at the girl and with an understanding we tried to bolt.
"Hey kid." He grabbed the girls arm and I stopped, I didn't wanna just leave her.
"What did that creature want with you."
"Where are your parents." The other man asked.
The man turned to create another portal and the girl ran. I followed quickly after her.

"Wait, I'm coming with you!" I called to her.
"What, no way it's to dangerous."
"Ya well I'm in danger too, any moment now someone really mad is gonna come after me and I think we can help each other."
She hesitated for a moment, "alright fine, but we need to run, before those guys catch us."
"I can get us out of here quick." I said eyeing our surroundings, "but I need you to trust me."
In her eyes I could see a flicker of pain, like she'd been betrayed one to many times, but after a moment she agreed.
"I trust you."
I grabbed her hand preparing to the thing I'd done when I'd escaped Agatha earlier but not before the two men caught us.
"Agh!"
"Going somewhere?" The bearded one asked.
"Stay back." I warned, my magic flaring, I stepped in between the men and the girl, prepared to fight them if they hurt either of us.
"We don't want to hurry you," said the cloaked one, "just give me back my slingy."
"Wha-" I was confused until the girl next to me hesitantly handed back his ring.
He studied us, a moment longer. "Giant monsters I can clearly handle, but what bothers me most is that you were in my dream last night, and you-" he took me in, "I've only ever seen one other person with similar powers to yours."
"Wanda Maximoff right. I'm Lorna Maximoff, she's my mother."
He shook his head, "no, no, no that's not possible, she couldn't...Westview is gone."
"You know about Westview." I gasped, "so that means you know about my brothers too, and my mom and everything."
"We'll she's the most powerful avenger so ya, I like to keep tabs. What doesn't make sense to me is how your alive."
"I don't know okay, but I'm here and maybe you should be worrying less about me and more about your weird ass dreams."
