A few days later, Liana is padding down the hallway of an impressive transport starship on its way to Coruscant. It had taken at least two days for Liana to recover from the shock of everything she had gone through on Geonosis.

It's nearly midnight, and yet the girl cannot sleep. She wears a simple standard dress of beige cotton, and yearns for her beautiful dresses that she's used to.

She reaches the door she's looking for and knocks softly before slipping inside.

Anakin sits up slightly in the small bed, his lips pulling into a small smile. He's shirtless, and on the mend from the loss of his arm. Instead, he had been fitted for a black and gold mechanical arm that took days to be correctly fitted. Yet now, he is able to use the mechno-arm as though it is still his own flesh and bone.

Liana's wrist, on the other hand, had been re-set where she had broken six of the small bones, and healed as well as it could be thanks to the advanced medicine of the Republic. It was now a dull ache, and much more tolerable.

"I couldn't sleep," Liana whispers to him as she draws closer to the bed. Anakin pulls the blankets back for her, and she slides into his arms.

"Me neither," he confesses. "Not without you,"

She smiles in response, placing her head on his chest. The window on the opposite side of the small room shows their travel through lightspeed as fragmented flashes of light.

"Now that we are heading back to Coruscant, we have to keep our relationship hidden, don't we?"

"Sadly, princess,"

"Do you think—one day, we won't have to hide our love for one another?"

"Maybe one day," he agrees as she sighs against his chest, tracing a hand up and down his muscled abdomen.  A comfortable silence overcomes them, and she even allows her eyes to flutter closed for a moment.

"Liana," Anakin hums moments later, stroking her golden locks with his mechanical fingers.

"Hm?"

"Marry me?"

Liana sits up in utter surprise so that she can look into his deep cerulean eyes and read the truth in them. Her lips part into a brilliant smile as she begins to nod.

"Yes," she breathes. "Yes, a thousand times, yes,"

"I was hoping you'd say that," grins Ani, a cheeky smile overcoming his features as he moves forward to brush his lips against hers.

Liana lets out a giggle as he scoops her up against him. She throws her arms around his neck as he kisses her once, twice, three times. Then, his lips find their home once more as they share a loving kiss.

It does not take Anakin long after that to convince his fiancé to let him make love to her as sweetly and gently as possible as the stars shoot by them.

The ship reaches Coruscant the next day, and Liana steps off the ship beside her sister. Anakin and Master Kenobi had gone ahead with other remaining Jedi for an important meeting.

"Everything is going to change now that we're at war, isn't it?"

"Perhaps so," Padmè replies as they stride over to one of the transports that take them into the city. "But I will certainly do my best to keep order in the Senate,"

"What about me?" Liana asks. "What shall I do?"

"Well, I suppose that's up to you,"
