As Spirit continues to grow throughout her life more odd occurrences continue to happen. Becoming more and more dangerous. These include the ground suddenly making a sinkhole, which normally wouldn't be the weird except the sinkhole was her exact shape, the tip of her horn bursting into flame, vines seemingly grabbing her and entwining her high up into the tree canopy, her joints becoming stiff and hard to move almost as if they had rusted, getting a sudden burst of speed that propelled her into a tree. And her saying the word ok somehow turned into a loud roar almost as if she was shouting it.
Moon was becoming visibly more and more stressed and worried as these accidents went on. Spirit was feeling more and more guilty as she felt she was responsible for her mothers stress and concern. So one night she packed up a few things she felt she would need and ran away in the night, not wanting to be the bane of her mothers stress. She found a nice clearing and made a survivalist teepee curling up under it, quietly crying herself to sleep. At one point the teepee collapsed onto her causing her to growl and climb out, fortunately it had become morning, unfortunately it almost immediately started raining causing her to sigh heavily. Unfortunately because she wasn't sure what was causing these incidents or how to stop them another incident happened and a heap of snow suddenly dumped on top of her. She whimpered as she grew increasingly cold as she tried to build a shelter. The next day she had a horrible cold, sneezing constantly.
Meanwhile at the house Moon was basically having a mental breakdown pacing back and forth and ranting in a panic until qibli grabbed her and tried to calm her down. "Moon, calm down, we can find her but we will never find her if you constantly walk back and forth," he said. "I'm sorry but I don't understand why she would even run away?" she responded putting her forehead on his chest. "I think she feels guilty because she is seeing how stressed and worried you are." "but I never meant for her to feel that way!" Moon responded. "I know but if you think about it she probably doesn't understand that we will never stop worrying about her." he said nuzzling her gently. "That's true." She said, " Let's find her and explain everything." she said walking out with Qibli right behind her.
Spirit was curled up, laying in the sun trying to stay warm and sneezing uncontrollably which is why they found her quickly. "Oh sweetie." Moon said as Qibli picked her up and enveloped her in his warm wings as they took her home and Moon made some hot chamomile tea. "Thanks mom, I'm really sorry I just didn't want to stress you out." she said with a sigh. "No, no, no dear we will always be worried about you. It's our job as parents." Moon said. "And while yes we are concerned about these odd occurrences it is not your fault." she laid next to her. "If anything you are the victim." Qible said. "After all these are happening to you."
"I guess that's true." Spirit said with a small smile. "Sorry for running away. Next time I'll just talk to you guys." she promised. "That's all we ask." Moon replied, as they all laid their heads down to sleep, Spirit cuddling close to her father to feel his scales warm her up. Before they fell asleep Spirit suddenly said. "What do you call a dragon who is fantastic at juggling?" "What?" Moon asked. "Talon-ted" She said with a giggle. "Three moons," Moon said with a laugh. "She's definitely your daughter Qibli." she said with a shale of her head as Qibli barked out a loud laugh as Spirit giggled with laughter. Once they had calmed down they laid their heads back down and fell asleep.
