Spirit was back at Jade Mountain within a day, not much changed, except a few of her friends kept trying to ask where she had gone. "C'mon Spirit!!" Treefrog begged, he was the youngest of the winglet and was eager to hear about the adventure she had had, wanting to be an adventurer himself. "I'm sorry, I can't say, it was dark when I went for a fly, I don't remember where exactly I was." She said, chuckling At Treefrog's begging look. "Tell you what, if you stop begging I'll try and find the same place when I have free time." "DEAL!!" He shouted, tackling her in a hug.

She laughed and hugged back. "Alright now you better get to your cave, don't want the teachers to catch you after dark." He giggled and rushed off, cloaking his scales not to be caught as Spirit climbed into the hammock. She sighed slightly, staring at the wall as her face dropped into an exhausted one. Putting up the happy facade was getting difficult. It wasn't that she wasn't a happy dragon, it was the fact she was having difficulty sleeping. Every time she did fall asleep.... Something happened, something that was about to happen again as she closed her eyes for another restless night.

Spirit's eyes opened again, floating in place. She wasn't flying, not in the normal way... she was hovering as if being held up by an invisible force. And out in front of her was Pyrrhia, but it was destroyed. The desert had frozen over, the tundra had melted, the swamps had been turned into an ocean, and the mountains had massive trees being burst from thievery rock itself. The rainforest had been turned into nothing but ash. But the worst one? There was a maelstrom encompassing the summer palace, the deep palace, AND the Bay of a Thousand Scales. Destroying it at whoever had been in there at the time. "No, no noononoononono." She shuts her eyes, covering them with her talons. She knew it was a dream, but that didn't stop her from feeling-

Suddenly she felt a hard yank, dragging her to the ground and then INTO the ground. Her head snapped around, looking at the pitch-black darkness now surrounding her. "What the?" She asked as this had never happened before.... What was going on? A dark chuckle could be heard coming from all sides. "Well, well, well." A voice said, causing her to squeak in surprise. "Hello little Spirit, it seems you are having what we call a vision dream. You are seeing the future." the voice taunted her.

"NO!!" Spirit shouted, covering her ears. "NO IT'S NOT TRUE!!" She roared, trying to drown out the taunting voice. "Oh but it IS, you have had visions before, you know they come true." the voice said, as if talking right into her brain instead of her ears. "NO!" She shouted again, tears beginning to flood her eyes in the real world, her body shifting and shaking in nothing but pure unbridled fear.

"Huh?" Avalanche rubbed her eyes, looking over at the trembling hybrid. She silently got up, seemed Futureseer wasn't in, probably getting a drink or snack. "Spirit, Are you ok?" She called. But Spirit couldn't hear her. She was still being tormented by whoever this was. Avalanche slowly got up, heading for her sleeping friend.

"It's going to happen!" the darkness hissed. "YOU are going to destroy this continent and everyone you hold dear. YOU will YOU YOU YOU!!!" The large booming voice cackled cruelly. Oh, this WAS fun, tormenting the dragonet of the two dragons responsible for this downfall. The best part about it was that Darkstalker no longer had a physical body to destroy. He was purely ingrained into her mind, he could torment her however much he wanted, all of her memories, thoughts, and feelings he would be there to witness. Waiting for the moment to take over her mind completely to make that nightmare he crafted for her a reality. Only to give her mind back and have her be punished for it,

"I SAID SHUT UP!!!" Spirit roared both in her dream and the real world, and before she could stop herself she used her ice element, blasting something akin to frostbreath at her friend, who just managed to duck in time to avoid the blast. "Uh......" Spirit blushed a bright red, she was caught, and she didn't know what to do.

Avalanche stared wide eyes for a moment, Spirit could use frostbreath?? That's impossible. "A-avalanche I..... I can explain...." She stammered, her nerves at an all time high as Clay suddenly burst into the cace, looking at the frost breath all along the wall above the door.

"What happened?" He asked, looking at the two, Spirit's ice rune on her chest powering down, Clay didn't notice, but Avalanche did. "Sorry about that clay, There was a masive hairy spider on my facem it was almost as big as my face! I panicked and managed to hit it with my frostbreath. Spirit was trying to get me to stop panicking so she could get some sleep." Avalanche quickly said.

"Oh," Clay sighed. "Next time don't be so loud, there are many other ways to kill a spider, not both of you clean this up and get back to bed." He instructed before leaving the duo in the cave.

"A-Avalanche?" Spirit asked meekly. "T-thank-" "DON'T" Avalanche snapped her head around to look at her. "You don't get to apologize or thank me until you tell me EVERYTHING." She snapped. "I'm not mad about it, but you of all dragons should know how secrets can ruins friendships, given the fact your mother held her own powers from her friends." She said, literally grabbing Spirit by the wrist and pulling her out of her hammock roughly. "ow, I guess that's fair enough... But we may have to wait on the explanation." She said as she flew up, beginning to melt the frost with her fire.

"WHY?" She asked with narrow eyes, surely Spirit wasn't going to try and avoid explaining. "Because my explanation will take too long, and I'd like to speak it without Futureseer, once you hear my explanation when we are alone you will understnad why, i promise, that i would keep this a secret to myself." Spirit said as Avalanche began to mop up the melted frost with a nearby camel fur blanket no one was using.

"FIne, tomorrow, you and I are going deep into the mountain and you better explain it all to me." She said, earning a nod from the dragoness. "I promise." Spirit said.

The next day she and Avalanche went to the deepest lake they could find, Spirit insisting on it for the sake of privacy. Avalanche was still incredibly hesitant, not seeing the reason for all this secrecy, but she Humored her friend, as it was the only way she would agree to explain. "Ok, uh.... Well..." Spirit paused realzing she wasn't entirely sure how to make this sound like a rational explanation. "You know animus magic, well mine is not like that.... I have the ability to control air, water, ice, plant, earth, metal, fire and lightning. But instead of my soul being affected i just use my energy. So if i use my power long enough i will eventually pass out as if i hadn't slept in a thousand years." She tried to explain.

Avalanche frowned, confused. "Prove it." She said, wanting to see what she was talking about. Spirit thinks for a moment beore stretching her talon out to the ground, the plant rune on her wings began to glow. Slowly a sprout came up from the rock, pushing its way through as it bud into a lovely rose.

"Wow...." Avalanche said. "I can do much more, but i don't, i don't want others to know, it'll just make me and my friends and family a target. That's why i don't share this information. iI don't want to be the cause fo their pain." She said softly, laying down as she began to explain to Avalanche everything she knew about her powers and how they worked.

Avalanche laid down besides her, listening intently. SHe had planned to expose her if it wasjust animus magic. But this.... Ths was a lot more than simple animsu magic, not that animus magic was simple. With no soul limitation on it... Avalanche promised herself, and silently promised Spirit, that she wouldn't utter a word about this to anyone. Not even her queen.
