"Alright," Chameleon said as he blew on the ink on a scrap of paper to dry it. "You know what they say, 12th times the charm." He said tiredly. "I have already used most of the scroll pieces I had left," he said, glancing at a small pile of diamonds, rubies, and amethysts. Some of them were cracked, and others were dull as if their color had been drained. The ones that had cracks were sparking and flashing with colors. He slides the remaining piece of a scroll into the back of a rock. Watching as the rock turned into a giant emerald, the emerald began to glow brighter and brighter until someone was standing on it. No, not standing, it was as if the light from the emerald made up the dragon itself. And that one dragon?

"Hello, Darkstalker," Chameleon said with a small smirk as his idea had finally worked. "Who are you?! What have you done?!" The massive dragon swiped his claws at the lime green dragon, however, the swipe went right through Chameleon. "Please Darkstalker could you act any more like that rainwing brat you were turned into?" Chameleon asked, examining his claws with a bored expression, waiting for the night/ice hybrid to calm down. Darkstalker stopped, looking down at Chameleon, a rainwing.... How did the rainwing pull him out?? "How do you know what I was turned into?" Darkstalker asked suspiciously. What was his game?

Chameleon picked up a scroll beside him "As the darkness closed around the consciousness of Darkstalker he used half of his remaining magic to insert his consciousness into the mind of Moonwatcher. However, due to the complex nature and quick, inaccurate wording of the spell, he was unable to create the desired effect." Chameleon read before Showing him the scroll. "I used pieces of your scroll that I had hidden around the continent to make this scroll explain everything." Chameleon chuckles. "The name is Chameleon by the way." He added.

"Oh so you're the one who stole my scroll," Darkstalker growled at him. "What do-?" Darkstalker began. "Then when you failed to have your consciousness merge with Moonwatcers you transferred it into their child's mind, yet again without the desired effect." Chameleon cut him off, a bold move if the disembodied consciousness of Darkstalker was in his body, but alas he was not. "So now you are forced to watch her life through her eyes without any hope of taking back a body, and without any magic, you cannot force it either," Chameleon said simply.

Darkstalker narrowed his eyes. "Does that scroll of yours say what I want to do to you right now? Because if not you're wasting my time" He snarled. "It says you are going to want to hear my deal," Chameleon said, ignoring the question. "Because I can give you what you want using my last piece of your scroll," Chameleon said, holding up the final piece of the magic-embedded scroll, causing the ancient dragon to pause in his attempt to swipe his claws at the rainwing once more. "You have my attention." Darkstlaker conceded.

"I use this scroll to give you the desired effect you wish." Chameleon began. "In return, you use whatever magic you have remaining in those old bones of yours to fix my snout." Darkstalker was honestly surprised at that request. "That is all?" He asked Chameleon. "After all of those who have wronged you, you only wish to have your snout deformity fixed?" Chameleon let out a heavy sigh. "I'm old, for a mortal dragon, and I'm tired. Glory has given me a reprieve from my banishment and I've paid my victims' families for my wrong. I just was to lay in the sun and sleep for years on end without a care in the world." Chameleon said, his eyes looked like they were made from charcoal due to how dark the rings were.

Darkstalker chuckled and slowly moved his talon to rest against the rainwings face, using the last of his magic to heal the snout deformity. Chameleon nodded his thanks and began to write on the scroll scrap, aware the giant dragon was watching closely to make sure he didn't pull a fast one. When he finished the scroll read as follows

When this scroll rests in the pouch of Spirit the Nightwing and Sandwing hybrid it will allow the consciousness of Darkstalker the Nightwing and Icewing to be able to slowly corrupt the mind and body of Spirit until he has full control over her and will be able to use her body and mind as if it was his own.

Once he was done Chameleon looked up at the hybrid to see if it was satisfactory. "Why slowly?" Darkstalker asked Chameleon. "If you suddenly have her full mind then she will know and possibly as any animus she knows will erase you for good," Chameleon explained, earning a nod of approval from the ancient dragon. "Good. Now get that thing on her pouch and put me back in that-" Darkstalker was cut off as the emerald exploded into shards, the consciousness was so powerful it seemed to withstand confinement in a gemstone.

Chameleon sneaks into Jade Mountain and places a scrap of scroll into a letter from her parents. He knew she would put it in her pouch and read it into her cave. Giving the scroll fragment enough time to work. He then went to the rainforest and laid down on a platform, closing his eyes and falling asleep, for the first time sleeping for the past hour.

Spirit yawned, stretching as she climbed out of the hammock she had in her sleeping cave. Heading for the library to check if there were any new scrolls for her. "Morning Starflight, did my scroll come in?" She asked hopefully. The blind Nightwing smiled over at her following the sound of her voice. "Haha yes it has arrived I'm sure you are happy about the new sciences and experiments." Starlight offers her the tagged scroll on new scientific methods. "After what happened in the science cave," Starflight smirks teasingly. "That was ONE time and I only blew up my face when I mixed tert-Butyllithium under Hexanes and White Phosphorus," Spirit said with a giggle, remembering it was almost comical how the solution exploded right in her face.

Starflight chuckles as he hears the ruffling of papers, presumably the scroll being placed in her pouch. Neither dragon was aware, but Spirit's life had just become 20x more complicated as the consciousness of Darkstlker finally awoke. 'Yesss' came a rather evil voice within her head. But Spirit didn't pay any mind to it, each thought process sounded different to her, a side effect of the mind element she assumed, so she thought it was someone in the school. And she wasn't that far off. "Thanks, Starflight! Any word on when I can go to the volcano to collect sulfur?" Spirit asked with a wide smile, sure it wasn't healthy to breathe in but that's why she bought a glass jar to store it in.

Starflight shakes his head. "You know Glory has already said that going to that volcano is far too dangerous. We don't know if it will blow again and the last thing we need is more death from that place." He said, unconsciously touching the bandages over his eyes. "Right, sorry I guess I just got excited," Spirit said, feeling bad about bringing up the rough memories Starflight had. "I am aware, but I'm sure there are safer ways to get the materials you want for your experimentation." He said with a smile. "Alright, I'll see you later Starflight," Spirit said, brushing wings with the librarian before heading to her cave.

In her cave is where Spirit found the piece of scroll. However, she didn't read it; she figured that it was simply loose paper. Deciding to put it to the side and forget about it. Unfortunately for her, the scroll had already freed the monster in her head. 'And the more you use your power' Darkstlaker thought without letting Spirit hear. 'That is when I will begin my takeover, the more you help others, the more you become MINE!'
