"So, yeah that is that and I hope I get better control of this." Spirit sighed, looking at the ground, the cold presence of Princess Avalanche by her side. "Wow.." She said slowly not sure what to say, or how to react. "Wouldn't it be better to tell the others?" Avalanche asked.

"I want to, but remember the reaction you had?" Spirit asked, pointing at her with a claw, only to be shoved playfully, rolling into the lake where he resurfaced with a laugh. "Oh come on you know that was a good point." She giggled, climbing back out and shaking herself dry.

"And how much easier is it gonna be covering this up if you have friends that can help you? especially if you don't want the wider world to be informed." Avalanche said, stretching as she stood up. Her back popping as she stretches. "So, can I get a see at what it looks like?" She asked a little hesitantly, wanting to see what it looked like butt also not wanting to pressure Spirit into doing something she doesn't want to.

Spirit was hesitant, but she figured it wouldn't be too bad to give a small demonstration. Especially since she already knew about the power. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt." She said hesitantly but her back left leg's rune began to glow: the rune for water.

Slowly a long tendril of water began to approach Avalanche from behind Spirit, it slithering forward like a serpent on the stony ground. Noticeably Whenever Spirit's hand or claws moved, the water snake would move, controlling it by hand, so to speak. "It..... it's a bit hard to explain how exactly it works... But it is more of me being able to control them with my mind. Sort of how an animus can control an item." Spirit said with a half-shrug, the water tendril poking Avalanche in the face. Unlike a bubble, it stayed in its corporeal form. As if it was a literal snake.

Avalanche gently poked and touched the water, when her claw was inside of it the water dripped out. "Impressive... very impressive. I can see why you are hesitant to tell anyone about this." Avalanche said, impressed with how this looked, even if she didn't fully comprehend what was going on and how it was possible.

"Tell me about it. Imagine what the likes of Scarlet, Darkstalker, or even just Chameleon would do if they got their talons on me and somehow got me to work for them? Via threatening of course I doubt I would be anywhere near weak-minded enough for simple threats. But if they got a hold of my parents? I doubt that I would be able to resist someone if they were holding my family hostage." She sighed, rolling her wrist and the water serpent flowed back into the lake behind her as the rune on her leg died down.

"I understand... Don't worry your secret is safe with me." She said, standing up. "Really?" Spirit asked, looking skeptical. "I thought your entire tribe was all about "get all the power back that was stolen from you and shut everyone else out with a moon's forsaken wall that shoots everyone else down with a freaking narwhal spear," Spirit said rather unbashfully how rude it would be to her tribe.

Avalanche frowned. "For someone who is trusting me with the secret of your power, you aren't exactly being very polite." She said, opening her mouth to reply when Spirit cut her off. "Can you honestly sit there and tell me that ISN'T what your tribe has been doing for the past oh, 2,890 years?" She asked.

Avalanche opened her mouth to reply, but nothing came out. "I suppose one could say that.' She mumbled, glancing away for a brief moment. "Exactly! Why do you guys even HAVE that wall in the first place? Name ONE tribe that could even survive in that frozen wasteland if they manage to push you out of it?"

Again, the Icewing princess couldn't find an answer. "I guess that is fair enough." She mumbled.

Spirit placed a wing on her shoulder. "But seriously, thank you, it's nice to have someone to talk to about this all. Thank you." she hugged Avalanche, noticing the princess freeze up, backing up with an apologetic look. "Sorry..."

"It's fine, glad you have some relief now," Avalanche said with a nod, a small hint of a smile. "C'mon, we should be getting to class now." Avalanche shoved Spirit back into the lake, laughing as she called over her shoulder "Last one there is a rotten sand snorter!!" She shouted, laughing as she raced up the mountain.

Spirit laughed and ran after her, leaving a wet trail behind her. Spirit was glad that Avalanche was getting used to being a normal dragon. She knew that her tribe was more militaristic, so seeing her so happy and carefree was much better.

The class of history was rather boring, Webs would certainly have to get better at giving classes if he wanted to keep any of his lessons to stick But Spirit didn't mind, she was more focused on getting some decent rest.

But when she got to her cave, she paused, seeing a small vase next to her bed with a note "Something to help you sleep, a friend." "Huh, strange, smells like some tea." She mumbled to herself, heating some water and taking a sip after adding the tea. "Huh, not bad..." she said, taking another sip. "I wonder who left me this..." She said, rubbing her chin.

Just outside Alligator was peaking inside, smiling before quickly leaving before he was caught. She was a good friend, but maybe one day they could be more.

(A/N sorry this chapter is a little shorter but wanted to get at least one update out before I get too deep into my schoolwork)
