I came home from my day with Sofia and I walk into the living room. What I see there is something I can never unsee....

My aunt is lying half naked on the couch with some guy. Luckily a blanket is covering them, but still. Its fucking weird!

I quickly turn around while screaming "Gosh Christie what the hell??"

They don't know how fast they have to grab their clothes and cover their halfnaked bodies. They're just as embarrassed as I am I guess.

"Riley!! I'm so sorry! I.. We.." She stops for a moment, stands up, puts on her sweater again and walks towards me. So does the guy.

"Riley, I'd like you to meet Daniel. My boyfriend. We've been dating for about one month now."

"Oh.. How cool! I'm happy for you guys! Hi Daniel, my name is Riley. Pleasure to meet you."

"Hey Riley! Your aunt told me a lot about you! Pleasure to meet you too."

"A lot of good things I may hope??"
Giving a joke-warning look to Christie. "Of course! Nothing but good things. Don't you worry!" We all laugh and I walk upstairs. Saying goodbye to Daniel.

I can't believe she didn't mention him before! I'm her freaking niece!
Well maybe she didn't know how to tell me. Or maybe its just some kind of friends with benefits relationship. I'll see.

Just as I lay down upon my bed, Jazmin calls me. I pick up the phone and we decide to meet each other today. We both have a lot to tell each other.

One hour later

"Jazmiiiinnn!" I opened the door and let Jazmin in. "Rileyyy I missed you so much! Been way too long! First: happy new year!! Second: tell me about your date with Nathan!!"

I laugh. She's hyper like always. "Happy new year to you too cray cray. Let's go upstairs first before I tell you all the details." I give her a wink and after Jazmin greeted Christie we walk upstairs.

"So tell me about this Nathan guy! Is her your boyfriend now?" Jazmin asks curious as we sit down on my pink couch with white dots.

"Yeah I guess... I'm not sure actually. I hope so! He'd be my first! Last night was just amazing. We watched the boy next door and then we kissed. It was soooo good!!"

"Oh my! He sounds so sweet and romantically! I'm happy for youuu!!" "Thanks! He really is! You should meet him once! But tell me about your date! How was it?"

"Oh my date.. It was.. Awkward. We just did nothing but talk and we were both too nervous to kiss or whatever. You know, we both never had a girlfriend. Just boyfriends now and then. But it was a nice day tho.. We had fun, but its just a little complicated."

"Awhh that's normal I guess. Maybe after a few more dates you both will feel more comfortable. I hope so!"

"Yeah me too. Believe me!"
"Hahaha I believe you. I sure do. Hey you know what's weird?" "What?" "Christie apparently has a boyfriend for over a month now and she just told me a minute before you called me..."

"What? Wow... Why didn't she tell you before?"
"I have no idea! That's what I was wondering. But I also didn't had the time to speak with her alone about it.. He just left before you came so I'll talk to her tonight."

"Well don't forget she is an adult.. She can do whatever she wants."
"I know I know, but I though she would tell me anything since she feels like a second mother to me.."

"Yeah I understand. Well maybe she didn't want to hurt your feelings and be there just for you. Maybe she was afraid that you would feel replaced if you knew she had a boyfriend. Besides... One month you said right? She didn't even live here with you one month ago."

"O my gosh! That's true! So she was already dating him before my dad got admitted to the clinic! Then I can understand. Maybe she wanted to keep him out of my life so she could be there just for me indeed. Thanks Jazmin! I didn't realise it!"

"Hahaha you're welcome. You were just too busy with Nathan!"
"I wasn't!!" I give her a playful jog on her shoulder. We both laugh.

After we'd talked for 2 more hours about all kinds of subject (mostly boys) we said our goudbyes and Jazmin headed home again.

I went to the dining room to get ready for dinner. I decided to cook for Christie. Just to show her that I love her and I will tell her that I'm happy for her having a boyfriend. Which I really am. Happy.
