I open the message and read "Hey Riley, remember me? It's Nathan from the supermarket today! First of all, I would like to wish you a very happy new year. And second, you're probably wondering how I have your number. Well, let me explain. My cousin Jason works in the supermarket too and he told me he's in your class. He saw us talking and asked me if you and I knew each other. I told him this was the first time we've met, but that I wouldn't mind to learn to know you. So he gave me your number and here I am, texting the beautiful girl from the supermarket that hadn't left my thought for one second today.."

All I can do is gaze at my phone and think of that one word beautiful. beautiful. beautiful. Nathan is such a handsome guy! I can't understand why he would like to know me better. I mean, ME! A girl that's always on the background and shy.. Is this even real? I am probably smiling, because Christie asks me what's going on.

"Oh, I just had a sweet text from a friend.." I blush. "A friend or a friend??" "Christie.. Just, stop!" I giggle. "Ooooooh! Okay, that's interesting.. I'll stop, but we're not done about this. I wanna know everything about him!" "Dammit!" I throw a pillow towards her and laugh. I don't even know Nathan. Suddenly my phone vibrates again. I look at my phone and see a message from Nathan. "And..?"

Oh, yeah, I have to respond now. "Hey Nathan, yeah, I remember you. Cool you are Jason's cousin! He's a nice guy so I guess you are too. Thanks for your happy new year wishes, I wish you a very happy new year too. Why would you learn to know me? I'm not that interesting.."

"Yeah you are, you've been in my thoughts since last year!"

Okay, that made me laugh.. "Fair enough.. :P" I answer. "So, you wanna hang out? I can pick you up right now if you'd like." "Now??" "Yeah, why not?" "Because it's past midnight.." "But you don't need a beauty sleep, so why would you sleep?" "I'll ask my aunt.."

"Christie!!" "Yeah?" "Can I go out?" "Now?" "Yes." "Why now?" "Because I don't need a beauty sleep anyway, duhh" "Is that what that guy told you?" She starts lauging. "He's quite something, huh? And he's damn right! You go girl, But don't make it to late!" "Okay, thankyou Chris! I'll go change!" I run upstairs and open my wardrobe. I don't even have clothes for this!

I decide to wear just my blue/grey skinny jeans, my bordeaux red HOMIES sweater and my white Allstars. Just normal. "You can pick me up" I tell him my address and wait. I app Jazmin to tell her I have a date. This is ridiculous, I don't even know him, but he's so goodlooking and he gives me self confidence. He told me I am beautiful. A guy never said that to me before, so I feel so good right now!

"Okay, I'm on my way right now! Can't wait to see you!" Nathan responded. Jazmin didnt read her message yet. Anyway, she knows where I am right now and she doesnt have to hear it afterwards from Jason or something. Jason is Jazmins boy next door so they talk a lot. I rest my head on my pillow.

"Riley?" I hear a voice say. I open my eyes and see Nathan. SHIT!! I FELL ASLEEP! And now he's standing in my room and he woke me up!! And I look HORRIBLE when I sleep! Dammit.. Good start.. I jump up and say "Heyy Nathan! How are you? I wasnt sleeping, I was just.. meditating."

"Were you? Cute way of meditating.. I'm good, you? Are you zen now?" He chuckles. "Hey! Im serious! I wasnt sleeping, Im not even tired.. Im good too and yes, Im totally zen. Now lets get out of my room.. Its kind of embarrasing...." I laugh and walk out the door into the hallway. He keeps standing in my room. "So you love Jennifer Lopez huh?" I hear him shouting from my room.

"Yes.. I do. Now let's go please!" "Okay sleeping beauty, whatever you like." I pull him away from my room and walk to the stairs. I tell my aunts and uncle goodbye and go outside with Nathan. We start walking, into a long, romantic night. Hopefully...
