"Mike?" Will says softly, gently nudging his friend awake as his walkie - talkie started going off again and he got a weird, cold feeling in his stomach.

Mike had decided to take a nap after the party had stopped responding, veering off to supposedly battle these demo - dogs with flamethrowers that Will didn't know or care how they obtained.. and Elevens powers.

"Hmm.." Mike groans, sitting up and looking at Will. "What?" He says quietly, and Will feels red creeping amongst his cheeks as he looks at Mike. He looked surprisingly cute when he woke up. How..?

"Oh.." Will says after he realises he hasn't answered Mike and was just gazing at him. Whoops.. He nervously gulps and looks at the floor and then back at Mike. "Uh.. they were.. trying to reach you on the walkie - talkie I think.. I dunno.. It was.. staticky and they were breaking up a lotttt.."

"Oh. Alright. Thanks." Mike says, quickly heading to grab the walkie - talkie and Will chews on the end of his sleeve.

He was frightened, no, terrified. He hated every - time a new gate or demon would spawn from the upside - down. He really couldn't deal with it again mentally.

Mike understood his friend well, he wouldn't want to either. Even without the previous gates, he'd be terrified of the upside - down. He knew Eleven had it under control. She was amazing.

"This is Mike to the party, what's happening? Over." He listens intently and there's a jumbled staticky response and he raises an eyebrow at it.

"Hello? Do you copy? Over."

No response.

He sighs and tosses it down on the bed next to him and Will.

"You doing okay?" Mike says quickly, about to head back to sleep.

"No." Will says, swallowing as he looks over Mike. "I wish like.. someone would hold me. I'm really scared right now. I don't know why. I feel.. cold.. and sick.. I hate it. I need to be warm."

Mike tilts his head a bit at Will but nods. "Sure. Yeah. Okay. We can uh.. cuddle again.. if you uh.. don't mind.. I swear that was just a one time thing..? Unless you don't want it to be..?" He offers a bit jokingly, poking fun at the situation they'd had only that morning.

It was now coming up on 6 o'clock, and Mike knew his mom would be calling them down for dinner soon.

Talk about awkward.

She was under the impression that they had had a fight, when really it was completely different.

They didn't grow apart over a disagreement like she'd assumed in her mind. In fact.. the issue was that they were.. too close..?

Yikes.

Will scares Mike a bit from the silence afterwards, but it turns out Will was just processing it in his mind when he starts giggling, and then it turns into full on laughter. "Y-Yeah. Okay. Sure," He giggles some more. "So what, is it like a special? If I buy a hug can I get something else for free?"

It was a super sweet sound for Mike to hear from Will who a few seconds ago was complaining that he felt scared and sick... Until he understood what Will was suggesting at the end there.

"What? Woahhhh.. hold your horses Will.." Mike says giggling a bit, scratching the back of his neck. "What is this.. 'something else' that you speak of?"

"If I told you, you wouldn't like me anymore," Will says, half - jokingly. Mike would probably find him disgusting. Even if he was supposedly gay as well.. maybe he didn't like men in that way as much as Will did..
