Will sighs heavily and hugs his knees, tucking them close to his chest as he buries his face in the crevice between them.

He is currently in Castle Byers, the raindrops slowly starting to leak through the stick roof but he doesn't really care all too much.

He promised himself he'd be strong, that he wouldn't cry, that he wouldn't do this to himself again because every - time he starts crying he feels miserable and can't stop.

But anyone that knows Will knows that no matter how hard he tries he can't always keep promises, and this was one that was slowly breaking ever since the incident with Troy.

Sure, he'd cried through the episodes of the mind - flayer that he'd had, but he couldn't help it. He was terrified of it and it reminded him of the upside - down. This was different. He could help it if he tried, but he didn't want to try anymore.

He was tired of it.

He was tired of being tossed around like garbage. Now, if he goes home, he's absolute and utter toast. His moms gonna like.. go psycho on him or something.

He groans and picks up a comic just to toss it away from him again in frustration.

He looks at the pages and slowly but surely rips them out one by one just by looking at them.

He bites the corner of his lip as he focuses intently on the pages, balling them up with less strain than it would usually take.

He cries out into the rain as he tosses the paper ball at the corner of the make - shift stick roof.

The hairs on the back of his neck stand up as he feels.. off again.

He places his palms flat against the ground, feeling the earth underneath them as he closes his eyes.

He slowly clenches a fist with the dirt, focusing on his breathing and trying to focus on the dirt as he furrows his eyebrows and strains to do something. Anything.

Will feels his head start to ache as he hears the rain start to pour harder. He sobs out quietly as he starts to strain himself once again to use his abilities.

He starts to sob out louder as he focuses less on being silent and more and more on what he is trying to do at the moment.

He takes in a deep breath as he ignores the pounding head - ache that forms as he shouts and feels the ground beneath him tremble as it starts to shake.

He falls back onto the ground, skinning his palms slightly on the toughness of the dirt and rocks and he feels his face turn flush as he hears the rain stop and suddenly the familiar lightning and static electricity is all around him.

The disgustingly damp atmosphere and dust around him makes him feel grossed out.

He grimaces and his eyes widen and he starts hyper - ventilating as he feels the ground continue to shake, though it sounds and feels like large foot - steps vibrating throughout the ground underneath of him.

He looks out into the sky and sees the terrifyingly familiar shadow slowly getting closer and closer in proximity to him.

"What do you want?!" He screams at it.

He starts to panic as it gets quicker.

He tips his head down a bit, glaring at it.

"Go away!" He shouts, and suddenly he feels a sense of terror.

The monster seems to look at him, and he juts his hand out towards it, which was now slightly painful due to his freshly skinned epidermis.

He doesn't know what exactly he's doing, and the monster seems to screech inside of his ears as it starts to flake apart. A light glows from beneath its... layers?
